Idk why they made it as a poll to start with, the mods have clearly made up their mind already, and they have all the power. Fandom will be a competing battle cats site if the mods move to another site, so makes sense they are trying to shut down further use here. It'd be better form to allow ppl wanting to stay to continue working on the fandom site (even if they think it's worse). Seems a bit needlessly hostile to try to kill fandom so that their new site can do better.
This mean nothing to me because i’m still gonna use this site for social anyway.
Didn't even try to make this original 😭
Before you are all "oh yeah the desktop site is better" uh you realize most people are on mobile right? Even if it's not the majority, it's tons of people

Additionally
people are more familiar with fandom and it already has a wide and established community
Fandom has higher SEO so it will show higher to new people
Could be issues with migration to miraheze
Fandom has many built in issues like community discussions, video embedding, and other tools, which are either outright not on miraheze or are harder to use
The community will split with people on fandom and people on miraheze. This will lead to a decline on active contribution, which leads to lower quality discussions and pages
Miraheze is quite customizable but is much more difficult for both users and editors; unnecessary learning curve
While fandom uses ads, they are not many, you can simply make an account, and miraheze relies on donations to run so it might not be so sustainable. Due to a lack of consistent funding, quick support and technical fixes would become more difficult
@Azurastral still looks like shit
Also if I go to top right and click desktop it just zooms out, I have to go all the way to the bottom every time I switch pages and click desktop site
RIP LoonarOonar you really should come to the forums!! i beg you!!
@ABattleKitten We were actually considering not migrating depending on the results, since it makes no sense to migrate for the community when the majority of the community doesn't want it. If No had won, we probably would've set miraheze down for at least a few months as a backup just like we did twice in the past so far.
People are familiar with fandom and its ad bombardment. As far as I'm aware, the two main sub-complaints are that the ads can cover up the majority of the screen and that they make pages slow to load and respond, making the wiki almost unusable in some instances. We're doing our best so that the community can continue, which is why we have set up the forum rather than continuing with our initial plan of Discord.
This is something we'll have to deal with, but in the long term, we're thinking that we can get miraheze up.
We've confirmed there are no significant issues with migration other than the lack of discussions which has a solution being the forum we've set up.
The forum website is our replacement for community discussions, and it has more features than this. The lack of other fandom features is pretty much ok from our testing as they are not important, replicable, or replaceable.
For pages, the majority of new changes made to content are done by staff (this has been the case for a while now). There are very few users that come periodically to contribute, and they have already appeared on miraheze to edit (Zakured, Lux). Page quality will certainly not decline.
The main difference is the lack of visual editor, which is a pain because it inserts random spaces into pages. As for the learning curve, the existence of visual editor is clearly not working as we haven't been getting any new users who stay to edit recently.
^^i talk on other wikis, cat game isn’t the only place where i interact with a bunch of jumbos
What do you think?
