Strategy/Usage[]
Normal/Evolved Form[]
These forms are useless by design. Similarly to the other Ancient Eggs, this unit is not meant to be used before its True Form.
True Form[]
This unit is a dangerous specialist attacker geared to counter Traitless enemies, very similar to D'arktanyan, with great attack power, average survivability and medium effective range, though his blindspot is somewhat large. Compared to the likes of Polevaulter Cat and Medalist Cat, he isn't good as a generalist due to having less effective range and just about the same DPS, limiting his selection of potential targets. What sets Hitman Cat aside is his combination of abilities and aspects. Traitless enemies are notoriously difficult to find counters against, and many of them either don't deal enough damage to falter such threats, or can't even reach them in the first place, similar to Teacher BearCat. Hitman Cat finds particular use in countering a wide array of enemy midrangers, wave attacks and pushers, such as Kory, Dober P.D, R.Ost, Hermit Cat, Mr. Mer, Crazed Gross Cat and more, provided his blindspot is covered. His freeze immunity and speed also makes him suitable for fighting Henry, as he cannot be disabled and will easily make it into Henry's blindspot. Though he is indeed a bit overpriced, he does have his own uses and is a formidable option against plenty of Traitless foes, reaching up to 13K effective DPS at level 50, making it well worth the investment.

Appearance[]
- Normal Form: An egg-shaped object covered in soil and vegetation.
- Evolved Form: Cleaning it up has revealed its true coloration. It now looks like some sort of futuristic capsule, with an X-like symbol engraved in the middle. Some soil still clings to the bottom, above which there are four black dots, two on each side.
- True Form: A humanoid cat that resembles a mobster. It dons a belted suit, a hat and shades, with its hands in its pockets. It pulls out a Javelin launcher and fires it at the ground ahead to attack.

Trivia[]
- Prior to Version 12.3, Ancient Egg: N005's and Ancient Egg: N001's names did not have colons.
- Ancient Egg: N005, Ancient Egg: N004 and Ancient Egg: N003 are currently the only Ancient Eggs whose True Forms do not have Behemoth Slayer.
- Hitman Cat can be seen as a foil to Cop Cat. Both are sunglasses-wearing ranged Ancient Egg units that have damage-increasing anti-Traitless abilities and are implied to be incompetent at their jobs, with Hitman Cat being questioned by police more times than he has killed his targets and Cop Cat chewing hot-dog-flavored gum to stay awake as he patrols a city with a crime rate of 120%. They contrast in how their professions oppose each other and Hitman Cat is a more offensive unit that deals higher damage less frequently in a wider area, with exactly half the health of Cop Cat, Massive Damage instead of Strong Against, and a much longer attack cycle. Hitman Cat's blind spot is also equal to Cop Cat's range.
