Ancient Egg N001 (Special Cat)

Ancient Egg N001 is a Special Cat unlocked when beating Archaeology 101: Analysis. It was added in Version 11.4. True Form added in Version 11.5 improves almost all attributes, has higher stats against Behemoth Enemies and gains a small chance to dodge Behemoth' attacks.

Evolved into Haniwa Cat at level 30 using Behemoth Stones and XP.

Strategy/Usage

Normal/Evolved Form

These forms are useless by design. Similarly to the other Ancient Eggs, this unit is not meant to be used before its True Form.

True Form

Haniwa Cat is an anti-Traitless meatshield that serves the exact same purpose of an Eraser Cat, but with better health (only against Traitless) and lower cost than other spammable alternatives, but horrible speed. As such, its use is very limited. Even against Behemoths, its health is not high enough to withstand attacks much better than the faster traditional option, not to mention the other traits that would inevitably pose a threat. It works best against Traitless-only armies that do not feature Croakley, Henry and especially Mr. Mole.

Appearance

• Normal Form: An egg-shaped object covered in soil and vegetation.
• Evolved Form: Cleaning it up has revealed its true coloration. It now looks like some sort of futuristic capsule, with an X-like symbol engraved in the middle. Some soil still clings to the bottom, above which there are four black dots, two on each side.
• True Form: A clay cat shaped like a haniwa figure. Attacks by spinning.

Trivia

• Haniwa Cat is based on a haniwa, which were clay statues that were buried with the dead.
  • Since it attacks by spinning, it could also be a reference to the haniwa-like gyroids from the Animal Crossing series.
• It is currently the only Ancient Egg whose Normal and Evolved Forms' English names do not include a colon.
• Visually, Haniwanwan is an enemy version of Haniwa Cat.
