Strategy/Usage[]
Before True Form, there's easily no reason to use Archer Cat at all, having absurdly horrid stats, even against Floating, which only get amplified when you look at its Single Target attacks and sluggish attack rate.
True Form[]
Cataur now has an unusually long range for a spammable unit, but it still gets outclassed by Cameraman Cat against shorter ranged floating enemies, such as the Bun Bun family. Cataur's place is thus against longer ranged floating enemies, such as I.M. Phace and Owlbrow. This is especially good in Tiny Wings, where Cataur can topple down the Owlbrows before support comes to protect these annoying backliners. Still, the DPS barely topples that of a high level King Dragon Cat even against floating, resulting in this cat's use being extremely limited.
Talents[]
Talents make him better, but still situational. The Target Zombie and Zombie Killer abilities make him effective at pairing with Li'l Flying on Zombie Outbreaks by being able to deal with higher-ranged zombies like Cadaver Bear that Li'l Flying can't reach. He can also reach some other small zombies as long as there aren't enough to make his Single Target attacks a burden. However, Zombies can burrow into Cataur and then attack it, which doesn't exactly go well with his little health. Other talents are generic upgrades, so nice to have, but nothing more.
Orb[]
If and only if this cat is already properly boosted, it is then worth it to give it a massive damage orb for either Zombie or Floating. Otherwise, leave the slot empty.
