Asuka Langley (Super Rare Cat)

Asuka Langley is a Super Rare Cat that was obtained in Version 6.10 and can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Neon Genesis Evangelion Collaboration Event. True Form added in Version 8.7 increases health and attack power and grants the ability to knockback Red enemies.

Evolves into Plug Suit Asuka at level 10.

Strategy/Usage

Asuka can be really good if you happen to get her early on, as she is strong against Red and has Area Attack. Her DPS is also very high, so she is a good counter to early game Red enemies like Sir Seal and One Horn. She is also good in early/middle Stories of Legend stages, as she can tank and take out close-ranged enemies like Bore, Shy Boy, and J.K. Bun Bun. It is recommended you only use her for Red enemies, as her stats will not be enough to carry her in tough generalist stages like Overachiever Central or Technocracy.

It is worth noting that she faces pretty fierce competition from Roe Cat, who both has much more health and a much quicker recharge time than her. Unless the stage demands her damage output, or her range is needed to stay safe from non-Red attacks, you're likely better off just using Roe Cat.

True Form

Eyepatch Li'l Asuka gains the ability to knockback Red enemies. Unfortunately, this niche is already occupied by Pirate Cat, who is more spammable than her and has the side niche of being a wave immune meatshield via Talents. While there are some situations where she has an edge over Pirate Cat, like against Capies, it shouldn't be relied upon - you're better off treating this ability as a bonus when using her. Other than that, her stat change is very minimal.

• Normal Form: A chibi version of Asuka Langley from Evangelion with a Basic Cat beside her.
• Evolved Form: Asuka herself now wears a red plug suit, while the cat gains accessories resembling Eva Unit-02.
• True Form: Asuka appears to be wearing an eye patch over her left eye, her smile has turned more into a frown, while the cat gains accessories resembling Unit-02, Code 777.
