Strategy[]

While scary at first, Omens unfortunately falls to the sheer amount of anti-Aku powercreep and Surge Immune units released since the debut of this Baron. Depending on what anti-Aku and Surge Immune units you have, the difficulty of these ten stages vary wildly.

Recommended Units[]

  • Surge Immune meatshields like Cat Cactus or Talented Gato Amigo: In a stage where Surges are more abundant than potatoes in Idaho, having Surge Immune meatshields to walk off the powerful Surges present on this level
  • Maize Cat: Basically just powercreep for this stage. Tanks much more hits from Omens compared to Cactus, is much faster, and can also tank hits from Relic Doge. He can even do a little bit of damage too, in an extreme scenario.
  • Seafarer Cat or Courier Cat: Depending on your strategy, you may either want to keep Johnnyleon alive for your LD ubers to wreck havoc, or get him out of the way as soon as possible for your backliners to turn Omens into Aku-flavored mush. For the former scenario, run Seafarer to freeze him in his tracks, while for the latter Courier is a better option due to his Massive Damage vs. Red.
  • Boulder Cat: It's Rock. Does he really need explaining here?
  • Talented Can Can Cat: Deals with the starting peons very well with a little bit of meatshielding, and can Double Money the Mistress Celeboodle for bonus cash.
  • Talented Li'l King Dragon: With Surge Immune, Mini-Wave, and Survive, Talented LKD is a mighty tool to have for this stage, although he does get outranged by Omens.
  • Jetpack Cat: While he doesn't have Surge Immune, Jetpack is fast, has Colossus Slayer to tank Omens hits, and tanks huge amounts of damage from the Alien Support, mainly General GreGory.
  • Gridiron Cat: At high levels, Gridiron can get some damage onto Omens, with his LD Ability. If he isn't boosted, don't bring him along. If you're going to use him, make sure he's at least level 49 so that he won't get juggled by Johnnyleon.
  • Awakened Doron: Big burst damage which can clear out pesky peons. As a bonus, also has Colossus Slayer.
  • Awakened Naala: One of your biggest assets for this stage if you lack enough good Ubers. Deals extremely well with peons and can hit Omens, as well as having Colossus Slayer to help her stay alive longer. Because Naala has a low standing range, it's highly important for you to abuse Johnnyleon for a stepping stone as much as possible.
  • Ape Lord Luza: A Surge Immune backliner who can deal huge damage to the Relic and Wild Doges which spawn throughout the battle. Remember, though, that Luza has only 400 range, and thus dies to Omens without any stepping stone.
  • Esoteric Uril: Utterly clowns on this stage. With his Strong vs. Aku, Slow ability, and Surges, you'll be able to abuse Johnnyleon to an even greater extent than before and reduce the pushing power of Omens to a negligent amount.

Recommended Ubers[]

  • Satoru: Literally demolishes the stage. CC against the largest threat of the stage and Surge Immune? Yes, please.
  • Spectral Goth Vega: Funny enough, almost all the Colossus Slayer Ubers get steamrolled in this stage. Out of all of them, Vega is the one who gets steamrolled the least, being able to Weaken the main threats of the level to help your other units stay alive longer.
  • Surge Immune Ubers with over 430 range: Examples include Almighty Lucifer, King of Destiny Phonoa, and Eva Unit-13. If you choose to use these Ubers, focus on eliminating Johnnyleon as fast as possible in order to have your ubers directly start attacking Omens.
  • Surge Immune ubers with LD and less than 430 range: Examples include Kasli the Bane. You'll need a stepping stone here for these Ubers to be able to wreck havoc without instantly dying. Too bad there's a Johnnyleon.

Strategy 1[]

Lineup: Manic Eraser Cat 50, Kinjirou Cat 50, Cat Cactus 50, Boulder Cat, Barrel Cat 50, Seafarer Cat 50, Li'l King Dragon Cat 50+25, Awakened Doron 50, Awakened Naala 50, Ape Lord Luza 50

Cannon: Thunderbolt 25

Items: Rich Cat

Notes:

  • While not used here, the Waterblast style and the Curseblast Foundation are both good choices to bring here.
  • Seafarer Cat has its Freeze talent maxed out.
  • Li'l King Dragon has its Surge Immune talent unlocked and its Mini-Wave and Survive talent maxed out.
Upon starting the stage, PONOS will jumpscare you with Relic Doge and Wild Doge, both at obscene magnifications. If you don't play well, they can actually kill you. Naala should be enough to kill them, though try to not let her get hit. After you deal with the GreGory and Celeboodle with Jetpack and plenty of meatshields, the big man himself, Omens, spawns, alongside Johnnyleon. Don't be fooled by Johnnyleon's base damage, as without Crowd Control Johnnyleon can start chipping away at Luza and your other units. For this reason, try to get as many Seafarers onto Johnnyleon to stop him in his tracks, while your lower-range units abuse Johnnyleon as a stepping stone to hit Omens with. Ideally, you would be able to kill Omens before Johnnyleon goes down, though if Johnny dies first the run is not lost. After a while, Midnite D will spawn, which combined with Omens is a hell of a pushing force, especially if your units managed to kill Johnnyleon. Try to chip away at Omens during this phase, while consistantly spamming meatshields and using choice Barrel Cats to break Midnite D's Shield. Once Omens dies, you basically win, though try to not get overconfident as damaging the base gives you a Midnite D and two GreGories to deal with.
