Strategy[]

This is one of the first stages to emphasise the importance of Crowd-Control. Red Cyclone's massive damage per hit and DPS do not allow for resistant units to do much at all. For this reason, even the tougher tank turns into a waste of money immediately, so it should be avoided. Instead, this stage should be beaten with anti-Red/Floating Crowd-Controllers to halt its advance reliably. Cats that work well are Witch Cat, Sanzo Cat (who makes this stage trivial), Pirate Cat, Fortune Teller Cat, Shaman Cat, Delinquent Cat or Apple Cat, as well as some Ubers and collab cats that affect Red and/or Floating (like Momotaro). Cats with extra damage can be helpful to quickly kill the enemies, so they should also be used if available.

Strategy 1[]

Lineup: Wall Cat, Sorceress Cat, Necromancer Cat, Sword Master Cat, Paris Cat, Dragon Cat, Valkyrie Cat, Bahamut Cat

Items: Rich Cat

Notes:

Battle: Most, if not all, cats should be at least level 20 and Rich Cat really helps at the beginning of the battle, but it is not required to beat the stage. All you have to do is spam everything, starting with the cheapest cats, as the stack of Sorceress Cats that will form after a while will keep the boss under constant slowness, allowing the other attackers to quickly kill it.

Strategy 2[]

Lineup: Wall Cat, Witch Cat, Apple Cat, Evil Cat, Delinquent Cat

Notes: Bring ANY cats that have at least usable DPS.

Battle: Note that Witch Cat, Apple Cat and Evil/Delinquent Cat do NOT have to be leveled. You will use them purely for their slows and freezes. When the stage starts, send out a meatshield and one cheap attacking cat when the B.B. Bunnies are about to reach your base. Start upgrading your worker cat. When the Shy Boys reach your cats, send out more cheap meatshields and your debuffers while simultaneously upgrading worker cat when possible. When all the Shy Boys die, you should have a good amount of money saved. Start sending out every cat you have, especially debuffers and attackers. Keep spamming your cats. The Witch Cats, Apple Cats and other debuffers should be able to permanently freeze/slow the cyclone while your attackers deal huge amounts of damage to it.

Strategy 3 (Catnip Challenges)[]

This strategy is designed for the “Use 8 or more Normal Cats” mission.

Lineup: Cat Army, Whale Cat, Courier Cat, iCat

Notes:

  • Use the extra slots for 2 more Normal Cats of your own choice.

Battle: Start spamming meatshields and Brave Cats. Level up your Worker Cat and start spawning iCats to freeze the Shy Boys. You should have a lot of money after killing Shy Boys. At this point you should have Worker Cat at Level 8 while your cats are near to the enemy base. Then spam everything. As long as the Red Cyclone is perma-frozen, you should get an easy victory. Enjoy your 3 Rare Catseyes!

Strategy 4[]

Battle: Let the Bunnies get to your base, and then start spamming all your units. Courier's DPS is so insanely high that it can take out every enemy in the stage with relative ease, and Witch and Pirate have very good crowd-control which makes them ideal for keeping the only threatening enemy at bay while Courier destroys it.
