Strategy/Usage
- Axe Cat is only useful early in the game because it is the first proper damage dealer a player obtains. It greatly exceeds the damage output of Cat and Tank Cat. This makes it valuable in early game stages against tougher enemies, including Those Guys, who can be a pain for newer players because of their high health and attack speed.
- Unfortunately Axe Cat soon becomes redundant as longer-ranged damage dealers like Gross Cat, and especially Lizard Cat, become available.
- Axe Cat can be used as a damage dealing meatshield like Cat or Tank Cat where money generation is no problem. However, the higher cost, low stamina and short range once again make Axe Cat a poor choice once long range cats are available, even against red enemies.
- The misery for Axe Cat only continues when Crazed Axe Cat is unlocked. Manic Dark Cat, which itself isn't particularly useful and suffers the same problems, still outclasses Axe Cat in every way.
- Dark Cat can be effective against Bore. As above though, longer range cats typically get the job done more effectively and efficiently, once they become available.
- On the plus side, Dark Cat is part of the combo Power of Darkness which greatly increases weaken duration.
