Strategy/Usage[]
Normal Form[]
Baby Gao, when stacked, will demolish traited enemies that don’t outrange him thanks to his Strong ability. Baby Gao is comparable to Kasa Jizo, Cyborg Cat, and Slapstick Cats. He has almost the same stats as Jizo, but has a lower speed and attack rate. He can also be used as a better Cyborg Cat in almost every way, though again his subpar range (310 < 350) does hamper him despite having increased durability, DPS and knockbacks.
As with the aforementioned disposable attackers, Baby Gao can be used alongside them to provide extra DPS against enemies that do not outrange them.
Evolved Form[]
Mighty Lord Gao becomes a backliner unit. He gets much greater range, wave immunity and a 5% chance to perform Critical Hits, which further improves his original abilities. However, his cost and recharge times are also significantly increased.
Mighty Lord Gao remains an excellent generalist backliner, as he can outrange many common enemies, and can be used against those that his prior form can't hit. This makes him a safe pick in many mixed stages, as he will definitely add lots of meaningful support. His 5% critical chance is more of a bonus, as his attack rate doesn't allow him to properly capitalize on this ability. Mighty Lord Gao does struggle against Traitless and Relic enemies, as he does not target Traitless and Relics can shut down his strong ability with Curse, but these can be countered properly as long as you reserve other specialists to fight them.
