Bamboo Island

Bamboo Island (バンブー島 Banbū Shima, Bamboo Island) is the 8th sub-chapter of Stories of Legend. It was added in Version 2.0 and is available up to 4♛ difficulty.

Difficulty

Not too hard for the most part, but can get somewhat difficult in a few stages. Beware of Master A. and Otta-smack-u. Having Salon Cat will help a lot. The hardest stage is arguably Disgusting Swamp, which introduces Shadow Boxer K.

• 2♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 150%.
• 3♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 200%.
• 4♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 300% and only allows Special Cats and Rare Cats to be deployed.

New Features

This sub-chapter introduces two new enemies:

• Shadow Boxer K: A very powerful Black enemy. Has Area Attacks, high health and attack power, attacks non-stop and moves quite fast. However, she has short range and gets knocked back a lot.
• Rain D.: A fast-moving enemy with high health and mid-ranged, hard-hitting Area Attacks. Gets knocked back a ridiculous number of times, and often appears as support or protection for other strong enemies.

• Bamboo Island may be a reference to Takeshima, a real Japanese island whose name literally means "Bamboo Island".
