Baozi Cat (Special Cat)

JAPANESE EXCLUSIVE This feature is exclusive to the Japanese version of The Battle Cats but it may also appear in other versions such as BCTW and BCKR!

Baozi Cat is a Special Cat that was added in Version 4.0 and was formerly exclusive to the Taiwanese version of The Battle Cats. It can be obtained after the player beats the stage Secret Delicacy. It is a Taiwanese version of Catburger. In Version 11.2, it was added to the Japanese version and would be obtained by rolling the Lunar New Years event. It was later introduced to The Battle Cats Unite! in Version 1.0.5, albeit only available in the Southeast Asia Version in the Package Version Bonus.

Strategy/Usage

Normal Form

Very similar to Cat in terms of usage. Cheap and expendable, it can be summoned in masses to take hits in place of other, important units. This meatshield role is quite valuable, if not for the wide selection of cats able to perform this role without relevant differences in quality. Baozi Cat, however, can be used in 4 Crown stages, where there is considerably less competition. This is his only use.

Evolved Form

Due to the low stats, this form is not recommended as it is considerably worse than any possible alternative in about every way, making him into a waste of money when summoned. Could still be of use in early-mid Empire of Cats, but, after that, it is best to revert this cat to its Normal Form and only use that.

Appearance

• Normal Form: This delicious little fellow is modeled 1:1 on how baozi look in real life, but with a cat face and tiny legs. Attacks by biting the enemy.
• Evolved Form: An even bigger baozi with more filling than usual, it looks a lot more heftier than its normal form and now has a visible chin. Attacks by jumping into the enemy.

Trivia

• Originally, Baozi Cat was a Taiwanese exclusive unit. However, in the Version 11.2 Update it was introduced in the Lunar New Year event gacha gaining a +20 level cap.
• It, Nekondo, Crazed Baozi Cat, Li'l Valkyrie, and Li'l Valkyrie Dark are part of a version exclusive in The Battle Cats Unite, only being available for those who own the Southeast Asia version.
  • It is present in the Japanese version, however, it requires save file modification in order to be playable.
