Strategy/Usage[]
Bishop Cat lacks both the stats to be a usable fighter and the range to have an impact on any early-game Floating enemy, as they all outrange it in the first place. While Bishop Cat can be of use against certain event or collaboration event enemies, it is, in general, best to avoid using Bishop Cat outside of its True Form.
When used against Floating enemies it does outrange, this unit is best spammed, ideally in conjunction with another anti-Floating staller like Shaman Cat to increase uptime.
True Form[]
Thanks to its additional 50 range and Area Attack, Sanzo Cat can now make proper use of a very effective Slow ability. His range may only be 250, but that is more than enough to take care of most melee Floating enemies such as the Bun Bun variants and the Cyclones. He remains ineffective against most Floating enemies with longer range than him, but fortunately, they tend to attack slowly and don't need much stalling in the first place.
This unit can become a nearly impassable wall against the aforementioned Bun Bun and Cyclone variants, making it vital to create an opportunity for a stack to form. For this reason, Sanzo Cat is best used with "Research" Effect UP Combos or very tanky units, as well as (ideally Long Distance) units who can take care of other traits.
Talents[]
Sanzo Cat's most important Talent allows him to target Angel enemies. This is a very worthwhile investment that any player should make without hesitation as it pretty much doubles Sanzo's scope, allowing him to counter notorious melee angels such as Boraphim and Divine Cyclone. Against Angels, Talented Sanzo can almost completely replace Catophone, who costs more than double and takes more than 4 times as long to recharge.
His Weaken Talent can be combined with the original Slow ability to have better control on the battlefield and increase the ease of stacking many Sanzo Cats. Only the first level is necessary, but it may be worthwhile to upgrade it fully as well, however, the weaken reduces attack to 70%, meaning that pairing it with units such as Octopus Cat can be more detrimental as the less effective weaken can override the stronger one, though if you don't rely on the weaken as much, you can consider getting it. The other Talents all further contribute to making Sanzo Cats last longer on the battlefield as well as needing less of them to permanently slow foes, making all Talents worth considering, minus Defense Buff if Sanzo Cat's level is too low for increased health to make a difference. Either way, Target Angel and Weaken should be given top priority over the rest.
Orb[]
Defence Up against Angels is arguably the best option, due to how easily Gabriels slip past defences, followed closely by Defence Up against Floating. Nothing else is worth considering. Either way, the effect is usually minuscule, so there's no need to dedicate any in the first place.
