Boogie Cat (Special Cat)

Boogie Cat is a Special Cat that can be purchased for 90 Cat Food in the Upgrade Menu after completing Italy in Empire of Cats Chapter 1. True Form gains the chance to knock back all enemy units (except Metal enemies).

Cat

Evolves into Samba Cat at Level 10.

Evolves into Gato Amigo when obtained from the Boogie Awakens! Stages (may be dropped on the first stage but guaranteed on the second stage) and is level 20 or above.

Pros

• Cheap to produce and short recharge time.
• True Form can knock back non-Metal enemies.
• Fast attack rate.

Cons

• Low health and attack power.
• Short range (Bad for its ability in True Form).

Strategy/Usage

• This cat can provide a third optional meatshield if the player cannot contain the enemy's progress in specific stages or if they don't have Crazed Cat yet.
• Gato Amigo's slow movement speed can be used to prevent Miss Haka from burrowing. In both The Haunted 1LDK and Floor 29 of the Heavenly Tower, you must prevent her from reaching your base. By taking longer to reach her, it is easier to knock her back with a ranged stack while still being enough to stall Lord Gravey.
• For early Uncanny Legends, Gato Amigo works as a short-term counter to Oldhorn. In stages such as Annin Pass, Utsubobo Seamount, and Seahorse Siren, there are not a large amount of them to counter, making his single-target attack less of a problem.

Appearance

• Normal Form: Very tiny and has a small body. Has a black afro and dances while moving.
• Evolved Form: Resembles a carnival dancer. Wears pink and green feathers on its head. Wears purple feathers on its back.
• True Form: Wears a sombrero and holds two maracas. Spins to attack.

Trivia

• His True Form's name, Gato Amigo, in Spanish means "Cat Friend".
• This unit has the slowest movement speed amongst those with the same price.
