Brainwashed Lizard Cat (Super Rare Cat)

Brainwashed Lizard Cat is a Super Rare Cat that can be obtained by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during Seasonal Gacha Events or the Ultra Selection event. It was added in Version 11.10. True Form added in Version 12.7 grants Immunity to Waves and Freeze, while also slightly decreasing backswing.

Evolves into Brainwashed King Dragon Cat after obtaining from Spitting Death (Insane) and is level 20 or above.

Strategy/Usage

With the exception of health and damage, which are level dependent, this unit is the exact same as King Dragon Cat, with literally no differences in any aspect. Brainwashed Dragon Cat is thus best used in place of King Dragon as a relatively spammable long range attacker for tough foes with also some range, like The Face. Note that this variant needs level 46 to surpass its base form's level 20+90 stats, and level 43 to surpass Manic King Dragon's level 50 stats. This allows for it to be incredibly useful in Empire of Cats, where it can deal much more damage due to having higher stats then a level 10 Dragon Cat.

Of course, this unit's real selling point, as a copy of another, is the ability to combine it with King Dragon Cat, Crazed Dragon Cat and/or Li'l King Dragon to effectively cut on the recharge time a lot more than how much combos would allow, resulting in massive DPS; this is a good strategy for stages like Revenge of Red Sky.

As you reach the later parts of the game, specifically Uncanny Legends, however, this unit becomes much less useful. As with most other of his equivalents, Brainwashed Lizard's single target and high cost means it can be infeasible to accumulate them on many stages when specialist units already offer much more for the same price or less. And unlike Li'l King Dragon, whose Talents provide it with several additional attributes that distinguish it from stackable attackers, Brainwashed Lizard has no niche or specialization to begin with nor outstanding stats to compensate.

True Form

In True Form, this unit gains a very microscopic attack speed increase, and is now Immune to Freeze and Waves. These allow the unit to differenciate itself from other variants, as its high range allows it to comfortably fight wave attackers when supported well, and while the Freeze Immunity isn't all that helpful beyond Henry, it's still better than nothing. Overall, this may not seem like a satisfactory True Form, but the Wave Immunity does expand its niche significantly as a stackable anti-wave attacker, being among the few immune to them while dealing good damage, even in the face of common alternatives, such as the former reigning king Dancer Cat. Although the wave immunity overall may seem like a moot point since waves as a mechanic have been powercrept to The Aku Realms and back, Brainwashed King Dragon overall sits as one of the best anti-wave attackers.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A Lizard Cat with a blank stare and black markings. Attacks by spewing blue fire.
• Evolved Form: A Dragon Cat with a blank stare and black markings. Attacks by spewing blue flames.
• True Form: A King Dragon Cat but with a blank stare and black markings. The larger set of horns are replaced by jet black bat wings, while the smaller set are curved inwards and are black as well. Brainwashed King Dragon Cat also gains dark wings on its' back similar to Manic King Dragon. Brainwashed King Dragon Cat’s tail is now barbed at the end.
