Strategy/Usage

Cat Bros are not a very good meatshield outside of Empire of Cats and early Legend Stages. After that, their health, cost, knockback count and recharge time combine to make them decent at best, even against Traitless foes. Although they can be improved through Research and Resistant Cat Combos, there are better options that do not need combos to be used. Once other anti-Traitless meatshields like Haniwa Cat or Brainwashed Wall Cat are obtained, these two can be forgotten.

Appearance

• Normal Form: Two Cats. They both seem to have Mario hats on, however there is no symbol on them, and the hats are grey. Each Cat holds a Super Famicom controller.
• Evolved Form: The Cats have grown hair and are wearing jumpsuits. The left Cat has a yellow hat and jacket, and the right Cat has a red colour scheme. There is still no symbol on their hats, and their Super Famicom controllers are now Famicom controllers.

Trivia

• Baka (馬鹿) is a Japanese word meaning "stupid", "stupidity", or "idiot".
• Baka Cat Bros' name, outfits and hairstyles reference the Baka Brothers from the comedy variety show Dorifu Daibakushō.
• In Version 8.8, the Cat Bros were shown in the Cat Guide between Cat Kart R and Pumpcat, though they were removed from the Cat Guide in Version 8.9.
  • Despite still lacking an entry, their stage became available sometime after Version 11.10, making them the second obtainable unit without an entry, the first being Evangelist Cat outside of BCKR.
  • In Version 12.0, Cat Bros re-received their Cat Guide entry, also getting a slightly altered description, stating they join the fight from "The Battle Cats Unite!" instead of "The Battle Cats Together!"
• Unlike Cat Kart R, they are actually available in the game they promote.
• Unlike their Switch counterpart, they target traitless enemies instead of red enemies.
