Crowd-Controller |
Strategy/Usage[]
Cat Gunslinger can slow black enemies one at a time, while its targets are typically spawned in groups. He is thus only recommended for bosses like the Black Cyclone and Razorback. Try to form a stack before engaging the enemies and work on keeping the frontline clear. Alternatively, he could be used alongside the more reliable Bombercat as an emergency second line of crowd-controllers. However, very few black enemies are immune to freeze, and those who aren't usually fall to Pizza, who can kill them outright, negating the purpose to use Cat Gunslinger in the first place.
True Form[]
Rodeo Cat gains higher stats and more notably, more range and longer slow duration. However, he still lacks area attacks which hinders his performance against large swarms of black enemies. It's recommended to invest in this True Form if you wish to unlock Cat Gunslinger's Talents.
Talents[]
Once he is given Relic Target, his use is expanded to Relic enemies in early Uncanny Legends stages and Typhoon Nemo. His effectiveness remains limited due to single-target attacks, but he can at least do well at slowing Relic Bun-Bun and Primeval Cyclone. Attack and Health Up have little value, but health up, combined with Curse Resist, can at least improve Rodeo Cat's use further in a noticeable way. Improving the recovery speed is also important to facilitate stacking, since the slow chance is too low for his attack rate.
Orb[]
Its low health and damage, as well as a bad overall compatibility to Black enemies make equipping any orb nigh pointless. In theory, a relic defence orb might work, but due to relic's extreme damage output it is unlikely to make much of a difference.
