Strategy/Usage[]
Cat Machine's main assets are its gargantuan attack power and health. Against most Red and unstarred Aliens enemies, its resistance will make for a near-indestructible wall. Its damage can be put to good use as long as you don't abuse knockback since it might miss its attack. Furthermore, Cat Machine's low range may only allow it to serve as a barrier for wave enemies to strike at, which is not beneficial to your Cats unless you plan to support it with additional wave-immune units.
In Normal and Evolved Form, it is in truth nothing but a mediocre tanker that is slower than average. Relying on its damage is hard as well because of its long animation and backswing, which will make it stop to attack the ground behind all of the cats that need to be protected.
True Form[]
Cat Machine Mk 3 is invaluable for its ability to not only be immune to Wave Attacks, but to protect units behind as well with its resistance to both Alien and Red enemies. Combined with its resistances, Cat Machine Mk 3 can become a near-indestructible wall against Berserkory, Elizabeth the LVIth, Two Can, Youcan. However, be wary of its short range: unless constantly protected, Cat Machine may be hit by their initial attack anyways. One must also account for certain Starred Aliens, as their warp ability can easily nullify Cat Machine's protection.
The first two forms had a bad combination of sluggish movement speed and a long attack animation, but in True Form, Cat Machine's movement speed is perfect for an Uber with a long attack animation. Mk 1 and Mk 2 have a bad habit of lagging behind your meatshields and don't catch up to a knocked-back enemy before your other attackers do. Mk 3 is more diligent so it can reliably arrive at the scene in time when it is needed. Once it fires a shot at its victim to knock it back, Mk 3 can catch up to it before your other attackers do. But even so, it still sometimes lags behind because of its long attack.
Talents[]
Being a tank that depends on its high stats, the Defense Buff is a straight improvement but is only worth getting if you do not have Catseyes or have already leveled Cat Machine Mk 3 up to 50. Move Speed Up is also a good one to upgrade, as it allows Cat Machine Mk 3 to reach the frontlines even faster than other tankers, making Cat Machine more like Luminalia in a way. Knockback immunity directly counters Nimoy Bore and Red EnerG, and stages combining Red or Alien traits with enemies with knockback abilities such as Mr. Mole. Its hits will no longer be interrupted by constant streams of Trolly Bloggers, and it'll stay in front to protect far more consistently.
Unfortunately, Attack Up and Freeze are a huge waste of NP due to their very high cost and how redundant they are, as Cat Machine often misses its attacks, making them rarely even worth having.

Trivia[]
- The codenames "MS:RX-13" in Cat Machine Mk 2's Japanese description and "MS:RX-Ω" in Cat Machine Mk 3's description reference the Gundam codenames from the mecha anime series Mobile Suit Gundam.
- In the Japanese event poster for The Dynamites, Cat Machine is accompanied by the text "こいつ…動くにゃ!" (Koitsu... ugoku nya!). This is a reference to a famous line from the first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam, "こいつ…動くぞ!" (Koitsu... ugoku zo!), which means "This guy... moves!" The line is used as one's reaction when something they weren't expecting to move, starts moving.
- The way Cat Machine Mk 3 floats using thrusters that replace its legs is similar to the Gundam MSN-02 Zeong.
- Cat Machine Mk 3's Japanese description says that it's going to be used against the government that created it in order to stop them from producing an army of Cat Machines, which sounds very much like part of the overall plot of the Getter Robo OVA Getter Robo Armageddon. In the story, the original team of Getter Robo pilots turns against the Mechas' creator, Dr. Saotome, using one of his most powerful mechas: Shin Getter Robo. Also, its previous form's description mentions a research institute, which could be referring to the Saotome Institute.
- Cat Machine Mk 3's tattered red scarf closely resembles that of Ryoma Nagare from the aforementioned OVA.
- The event poster for The Dynamites refers to it as "Machine Cat".
- Prior to Version 9.7, Cat Machine Mk 2 was not immune to waves.
- Cat Machine Mk 3 was the first unit to have the Wave Shield ability.
- Cat Machine has a Gudetama-themed variant, called the Gude-Cat Machine, from the Gudetama Collaboration Event; as well as an enemy countpart, unofficially dubbbed the Gude-Doge Machine. These are only in the Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese versions of Battle Cats.
- Cat Machine's English description misspells Resistant as Resitant.
- Cat Machine Mk 3's English description also says it has immunity to waves instead of blocking waves.
