The Cat Shrine is a feature added to the Gamatoto Expedition menu in version 9.9 of the Japanese Version and version 9.10 of the English Version.
If Into the Future Chapter 3 has been completed, the Cat Shrine will appear on the left side of the Gamatoto Expedition screen at random times, with a similar pattern to Zombie Outbreaks. When the Cat Shrine is available, the player can tap on it and be shown several options to donate XP to The Cat God in exchange for blessings - materials, Catfruit, Catseyes or miscellaneous items, depending on the amount of XP donated. If enough time is elapsed without making an offering, the Cat Shrine will temporarily disappear.
The Cat Shrine will level up as the player donates XP; for every 10 levels, the Cat Shrine will temporarily disappear and gain a new design when it returns. Unlike GAMATOTO's costumes, the Cat Shrine's design changes are permanent. The current maximum level is 50, which requires the player to donate 223,000,000 XP.
As of version 10.0, the Cat Shrine also has a chanceTemplate:Incomplete to have a Cat Fortune option available, indicated by a speech bubble with a lantern and fortune slip next to the Cat Shrine. When Cat Fortunes are availableTemplate:Incomplete, the player can spend 5 XP once to have their fortune told, providing flavor text, increasing or decreasing the chance to find a large Item Pack, and, if lucky, summoning ? - a one-use GAMATOTO helper which doubles the non-Cat Food rewards found during an expedition. When Cat Fortunes are unavailable, the Cat Fortune button will be grayed out and provide the text "The fortune slip box is empty..." when tapped. XP spent on fortune slips does not count toward Cat Shrine levels.
Offering Rewards
There are four types of offerings costing different amounts of XP. Each type of offering can only be made five times per Cat Shrine appearance. Modest offerings are notably the only source of the elusive Gold Catfruit, which is needed to unlock Cat God the Great's True Form.

Cat Fortune
- This feature needs to be researched more.
The Cat Fortune feature is still not fully understood. Each time the player has their fortune told, they will be shown a "Your Fortune" screen with five lines of text. The first line is the player's perceived luck (No Luck, Good Luck, etc.Template:Incomplete). The next three lines are assumed to be meaningless; they provide comedic dialogue predicting how certain aspects of the player's life will go. The last line, written in yellow, is a general outlook on the player's luck, and it is presumably this line that determines the odds of large Item Packs and summoning ?; the more positive the outlook, the higher the odds. The differences between large and small Item Packs are still unknown, as are the exact chances of having a good fortune or summoning ?.
