Counter-Surge Enemies

When hit by Surge Attacks, these enemies retaliate by creating Surges of their own. The level and spawn distance are equivalent to those of the original Surge, while the damage and secondary effects are based on the enemy using this skill. The ability triggers 1.7 seconds after a Surge hits them; visually, this is represented by an animation in which a one-eyed soul with a pink aura appears above the enemy, jitters for a moment, and fires off a Surge from its eyes before returning to the enemy's body.

• The soul that appears when the Counter-Surge ability activates resembles the top of the Surge Base (which itself is modeled after the Monument to the Revolution of the people of Moslavina in Croatia), as well as the boss 0² from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
