Pigge, the first example of a Red enemy
Red Enemies (Japanese: 赤い敵 Akai Teki) are a type of Enemy Unit and the first trait introduced, appearing as early as Maldives/Tokushima. Red enemy variants are usually more powerful than their existing counterparts and have greater durability, getting knocked back less and in some cases can push aggresively. Reds are usually either extremely fast or slow. Most Red enemies also have a fairly high money drop, and tend to be stat-based, lacking reliance on special abilities.

- The Waterblast Foundation reduces the damage all Cat Units take from Red enemies by 0.75% per level up to a maximum of 15%.
- Red enemies are associated with Red Catfruit, which can be obtained from Growing Red every Wednesday.
- Anti-Red abilities are improved by the Blood Fruit from Into the Future.
