Strategy/Usage
Catman is a generalist in many regards. He packs a punch even against enemies outside of his niche, he has great survivability, and he stays almost as far back as Bahamut Cat. This may be further hindered by his somewhat long attack animation and rather high cost, but he still remains a great choice in every part of the game, and this strength gets amplified when he faces his targeted traits.
All three forms of Catman are the same in terms of stats, but deal massive damage to a different trait in addition to Aliens. For most of Into the Future, Cats of the Cosmos and Stories of Legend, Catman can easily take down usual Alien enemies without a problem. However, against long-ranged Aliens such as Cli-One, Galactic Overseer Nyandam or Spacefish Jones, Catman shouldn't be used unless he can tank damage from them.
Normal Form
Catman's Normal Form is the one you will probably use the most due to there being an abundant number of Floating enemies compared to other enemies, along with carrying the same anti-Alien ability present in all forms. This form gives him plenty of targets to outrange, including Owlbrow and most variants of The Face, Teacher Bun Bun and Mooth, among others.
Evolved Form
Dark Catman form changes his secondary target to Angels, of which he outranges a decent amount. Dark Catman can bring the hurt to anything up to and including Angelic Sleipnir, Winged Pigge, and even Youcan and St. Dober if frozen. While he is overall harder to use against Angels than against other traits, this form shouldn’t be disregarded, as Dark Catman can still help out tons, and given that a decent chunk of Aliens are Floating, he doesn’t lose too much, and gains a great trade off.
True Form
Ultimate Catman changes his secondary target to Relics and gains Curse Immunity. The targeting change is a mixed bag as while he is very effective at nuking short- mid-ranged Relics like Oldhorn, M. Ost, Relic Bun-Bun, and even Mr. Puffington provided a good setup, he can be attacked/outranged easily by enemies like Loris, Lowkey, and Othom. While other units may be better to invest Elder Catfruit into, definitely consider Ultimate Catman down the line.

Appearance
- Normal Form: A tall man in a white mask and cloak, underneath which he wears a suit of armor. Before his attack, he disappears into his cloak before suddenly reappearing to punch the ground. Small orange feathers trail behind him while he moves. He looks up and then leaps back. His punch triggers a flash of orange.
- Evolved Form: Mask and cloak are now black. The ears on his mask and the cloak are larger, while his armor is heavier on arms and legs. Large black shards trail behind him when he moves. When attacking, his entire face briefly goes black except for his eyes. Also, when he punches, there is a purple light.
- True Form: Similar to his Evolved Form, but more detailed. His ears and cloak are even larger and more jagged, his armor is much heavier and orange light permeates his form. His suit pulses with orange light, not unlike how Relics have green light. Also, there is a white flash of lightning when he punches.

Trivia
- His name and all of his forms, especially his Evolved Form, reference DC's superhero Batman.
- Ultimate Catman's Japanese name, Catman Rising, is a reference to the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises.
- Ultimate Catman was the first Uber Rare Cat to have immunity to curse and the first to evolve with Elder Catfruit.
- The visibility of the light can be seen from keen-eyed people to colorblind people as he changes forms. Catman's orange light is barely visible, Dark Catman's purple light is imperceptible to those who can't see red and blue, and Ultimate Catman's lightning bolt can be seen even by the color-blind.
