Catnip Dragon (Special Cat)

JAPANESE EXCLUSIVE This feature is exclusive to the Japanese version of The Battle Cats but it may also appear in other versions such as BCTW and BCKR!

Catnip Dragon is a Special Cat that can be unlocked by playing the Event Cat Capsule during the JRA Collaboration Event. It was added in Version 10.10. Like Cat Giraffe Modoki and Catnip Tricky, it is capped at level 1, meaning it can only be upgraded using +levels.

Strategy/Usage

Use Catnip Dragon like you would use Dragon Cat. Their stats are inferior to even a level 20+2 Dragon Cat, which only gets worse once Dragon's True Form is unlocked, but their Massive Damage ability makes it stronger than anything short of a level 20+88 King Dragon against Black enemies. Unfortunately, the lack of Area Attack does not combine too well with the rush-down nature of most Black enemies, reducing Catnip Dragon to a support unit in almost all stages which feature said trait. As a result, they should only be used if their level is disproportionately high compared to that of their variants, resulting in superior stats.
