Catornado is a Super Rare Cat that can be unlocked when beating Oncoming Storm. True Form increases health and movement speed.

Cat

Evolves into Hurricat at level 10.

Evolves into Catyphoon when obtained from the Red Sky at Night Stages (cannot be dropped on the first stage but guaranteed on the second stage) and is level 20 or above.

Pros:

• Might perform a Critical Hit (5%).
• Extremely fast attack rate and animation.
• Area Attack.

Cons:

• Short range.
• Mediocre stamina, except in True Form.

Strategy/Usage

• Not too useful for standard enemies, but Metal Enemies beware! Catornado attacks rapidly, and because of this it often does Critical Hits. However, its use is limited to Metal Enemies due to its low damage per hit, rendering it ineffective against non-Metal enemies.
• Overall, Catornado is a great anti-Metal unit and acts as the cat counterpart of the Cyclones (despite only being good against Metal). Even when he doesn't land Critical Hits, his godly attack rate can still shred weaker Metals such as Metal Hippoe and Metal Doge. Remember that his underwhelming attack power affects his Critical Hits's value, proving to sometimes only injure tougher Metal Enemies.
• If obtained early on, Catornado can still be used as an alternative to Cow Cat in early chapters (if Treasures have not been acquired). However, his slower movement speed gives him a similar problem to Mr..
• During Cats in the Snow, this unit can act as a shield to Snowball as they have low hp and Catornado has a godly attack rate, effectively destroying all incoming snowballs without getting hit.

• Catornado currently has the fastest attack rate of all cats in the game.
• He shares similarities to the Cyclone family, such as having a fast attack speed and being a cyclone himself. This may be the reason why you need to beat The Perfect Cyclone to unlock it.
• Catyphoon's artwork is based off of Totoro from the Studio Ghibli film "My neighbor Totoro.
