Strategy[]

This is essentially Dark Souls, but everything has the Aku trait.

Malevolent Mohawk Cat acts like Wicked Cat but tougher: lots of knockbacks, a Shield that regenerates for each knockback, and a decent amount of HP before it gets knocked back. While it is recommended to bring a Shield Piercer (Cat Researcher is probably the most ideal non-gacha option), sometimes you may brute force the Shield due to it only having 48k HP.

Because of the Fallen Bears leaving highly-damaging Surge Attacks upon death, it is recommended to have at least one surge-immune unit for whenever a surge hits.

Expect to push a lot in this stage if your units have high DPS. While that may seem like a good thing, pushing too much will cause your cats to get hit by Le’Behemoth, taking massive damage. Play it a bit cautiously until you either kill the 2 Le’Behemoths or Malevolent Mohawk Cat, whichever comes first.

Trivia[]

  • Since it contains only Aku enemies, including Fallen Bear, the stage's name being Century's End (世紀末 Seikimatsu in Japanese) is most likely a reference to the famous heavy metal band Seikima-II (聖飢魔II Seikimatsu), whose name means "Holy Devouring Demon" but also sounds like 世紀末, meaning "End of the Century". The band is led by Demon Kakka, a musician also referenced by Fallen Bear's Japanese name and description, and their personas are demons from a futuristic hyper-evolved dimension known as Makai (魔界, "Demon World"), which is also the Japanese name of The Aku Realms. The second album they produced was called End of the Century, referring to how they would disband on December 31, 1999 at 23:59:59 JST, in accordance to a fictional prophecy that they would conquer the world for the forces of evil and then disband at the end of the 20th century.
  • Century's End is a Merciless stage in BCJP, but is only Insane in BCEN.
  • Prior to Version 13.0, the enemy base had 800,000 HP instead of 2,500,000.
