  • Infinite Doges spawn, delay 13.33 seconds400f.

Strategy[]

Strategy 1[]

Lineup: Cameraman Cat 40+, Crazed Wall Cat 20+, Rover Cat Mk II 30, Jiangshi Cat 30+, Chill Cat 35+, Cyberpunk Cat (Level 7+ Slow Talent) 30+, Can Can Cat (Optional Double Bounty Talent) 30+, Castaway Cat 20+, Macho Leg Cat 40+, Awakened Bahamut Cat 30

At the beginning, spawn only Manic Eraser Cat and stall the peons. Don't let them damage the base at all, since you need to preserve as much base health as you can for Henry's attacks. While you're doing that, upgrade Worker Cat whenever you can. When your wallet is full, start spamming Rover Cat Mk IIs, Can Can Cats, Manic Eraser Cats, Chill Cats, Cameraman Cats and Macho Leg Cats. Along with that, occasionally spawn Cyberpunk Cats and Castaway Cats/Seafarer Cats if you have them. Both forms work well, but if your luck with Castaway Cats is bad, upgrade to Seafarer Cat if you have not already. If you have low money, just spawn Rover Cat Mk IIs and maybe Cameraman Cats.

When Nimoy Bore gets his first knockback, you'll probably run low on cash, so spam Rover Cat Mk IIs and some Manic Eraser Cats while saving up for Awakened Bahamut Cat and spawn him right after Cli-One does her attack. This should kill Nimoy Bore, and if it doesn't try spamming a few more Rover Cat Mk IIs and Cameraman Cats and maybe some Can Can Cats.

After you kill Nimoy Bore, this becomes a stalling game. All you need to do is spam Cameraman Cats and Rover Cat Mk IIs to kill off Henry and stall Cli-One, and eventually kill her too. If you did everything right, you should win the match! If you lost, just try again or maybe upgrade some of your units, or maybe try timing Awakened Bahamut Cat better, or getting Talents on some cats.

Strategy 2 (2 and 3 Crowns)[]

Lineup: Li'l Eraser Cat 50, Manic Eraser Cat 40, Catellite 30, Thaumaturge Cat, Corrupted Psychocat, Can Can Cat 40, Zamboney Cat 30, Seafarer Cat 30, Schoolbus Nyandam 30, Awakened Bahamut Cat 40

Notes: Recommended Cannons is Thunderbolt, Slow Beam or Breakerblast (to knockback Henry).

Stall the first few Trolly Bloggers with Zamboney Cat until you get to max money and wallet. When you do, send out Schoolbus Nyandam first as he is the slowest in your team, and then proceed to send out everything else besides Awakened Bahamut Cat when Schoolbus Nyandam is approaching the base. Nimoy Bore is not to much of a problem on his own as he should be taking heavy damage from your units and constantly be under status effects, not making him to much of a problem. When Nimoy Bore gets knocked back once, stop spawning your units so he can move forward again without all your units moving into Cli-One's range, making killing Nimoy Bore much harder.

Once Nimoy Bore is lured again, send out Awakened Bahamut Cat to finish him off while also remembering to spam your other units. Once Nimoy Bore is dead, lure Henry away from Cli-One a bit, before continuing with your spam. Whenever Henry gets knocked back, lure him back again out of Cli-One's range, send out Awakened Bahamut whenever he is off recharge time during this part (excluding when your units move into Cli-One's range if they do), as he can do massive damage to Henry.

Once Henry is dead, all you have to do is manage your money correctly to kill Cli-One and then you have won the stage!

Trivia[]

  • Close Encounters is a reference to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, an American science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg which heavily involves aliens.
  • Like all Axis of Evil stages, Close Encounters has a Russian-themed Japanese name. In this case, Uchū Kaihatsu-kyoku (宇宙開発局) translates to "Cosmos Exploitation Bureau", alluding to the Russian space agency Roscosmos.
  • Prior to version 11.5, Doge was set to spawn every 13.3~6.7 seconds instead of just 13.3. It didn't work properly because the maximum times were lower than the minimum, so in practice nothing changed.
