Coastal Explorer Kanna (Uber Rare Cat)

Coastal Explorer Kanna is an Uber Rare Cat that can be obtained by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Gals of Summer Sunshine gacha event. Prior to Version 13.5, she could be obtained from the Gals of Summer gacha event. She is an anti-Floating/Alien variant of Adventurer Kanna that was added in Version 12.5.

Strategy/Usage

Deep-Diver Kanna is a specialized backliner that excels against her targeted traits (particularly Aliens) and is best used in stages featuring them as primary threats. If obtained during Into the Future, Kanna will completely obliterate any and all Alien-based threats given some measure of proper meatshielding and having proper Treasures, with the most notable enemy she counters being Ursamajor. She remains an exceptionally useful unit in Cats of the Cosmos, serving as powerful burst damage against the otherwise tanky Starred Aliens (meaning it's smart to meatshield extra to keep enemies out of her blindspot). Unfortunately, CotC's restrictions limit her use in some stages where she would otherwise excel, but equally give her the spotlight in stages with Uber Rare or high-cost only restrictions. Like with Into the Future, Kanna's most crucial role in Cats of the Cosmos is her ability to counter the insanely buffed Ursamajors, which otherwise outrange and cripple the majority of traditional Alien counters such as Rover Cat, and have too much health and range for most generalist backliners to stop them before they push into your base.

Appearance

• Normal Form: Looks like Kanna, but standing on a coral reef with a beach ball, inner tube, bucket, and sand castle. An inflatable raft is behind her. Three floating Cats surround her, all wearing Goggles. In one hand, she carries what appears to be an air tank. In the other, she holds a squirt gun. She is wearing goggles and a black full-body diving suit with a zipper, slightly unzipped showing she is wearing a normal bathing suit underneath. There appears to be several pieces of cloth and a buckle hanging from her waist as well. There is a creature under her, looking up with a scared expression. The creature is also wearing goggles.
• Evolved Form: Looks the same as the first form, but now in full color, showing that the beach ball is red, the inner tube is blue, and her bathing suit is a bright red. A surfboard replaces the inflatable raft behind her. Kanna now holds a yellow boat oar instead of a squirt gun. The top half of her diving suit is now completely unzipped and hanging down with the cloth and buckle.

• Although Coastal Explorer Kanna doesn't have a True Form in game, within the game files there is a fully translated name and description.
  • They are likely accidental leftovers from the localization process, as they appear to merely be untrimmed versions of her Evolved Form's description and name, on top of not being present in any other versions.
