Battleground
Chapter 1
Shortly after the stage starts, a Metal Hippoe spawns in (they will spawn in every once in a while) with Doge Darks spawning in as well. Two Gory Blacks then come out with another Metal Hippoe. Shortly after, Gabriels and Heavenly Hippoes spawn with more Gory Blacks.
Chapter 2
The same as Chapter 1, but once the base is hit, a Dark Otter comes out. Enemies also have a greater strength magnification. There is also only 1 Metal Hippoe.
Chapter 3
The same as Chapter 2, but when the base is hit, an Angelic Gory comes out with the boss and strength magnifications are raised.
Strategies
If you have Kasa Jizo, congratulations, you just got a timed score bonus. Kasa Jizo is powerful enough to be used on every chapter. Just stack the Jizos on the Metal Hippoe and use beefy meatshields. Unless you have to, avoid using regular or crazed cat for meatshielding. They don't have enough health to be worth the risk of hitting the unit limit.
Chapter 1
After stage start, send out meat shields to stall the Doge Dark for money. Kill it later on with a cheap damage dealer and send out critical hitters (like Jurassic Cat and/or its true form) to kill the many amounts of Metal Hippoe. Stack AOE Cats to fend off the Black and Angel enemies and reach the base to secure your victory.
A high enough levelled Crazed Bahamut Cat (16~20+) can almost instakill the Gory Blacks provided Bahamut hits them. Since Gory Black has massive DPS, weakening them if you have enough meatshields and a cat that can weaken Black (like Magica cat) will help stop Gory Black pushing your line back (provided they target the Gory Black). Spamming lots of Dragon Cats can also stop the Gory Blacks, Dark Doges and Gabriel from advancing by constantly knocking them back and eventually killing them
Chapter 2
Just the same as Chapter 1, but there is a Dark Otter. Try freezing it or using status effects. Single Target units that have high damage (like Hip Hop Cat) can work against Dark Otter as well. Dragon Cat stacking is also optional.
Chapter 3
At this point, you should have high leveled AOE attackers, because this level can be mildly difficult. Use the same strategy as Chapter 2 but more AOE attacking. Use anti-angels/black to do this level if you have any.
Zombie Outbreak
Chapter 1
Zoge, Gabriel and Metal Hippoe appears as a peon.
Zory and Heavenly Hippoe appear in pairs as the major threats for the stage and respawn throughout the rest of the match.
There is no boss shockwave and enemies appear on a timer instead of their base being damaged.
Battleground
The match starts with a slow Metal Hippoe and a few Zoge heading towards you. At about 35 seconds another Metal Hippoe Spawns.
After about 60 seconds in you will start to see Gabriel and Heavenly Hippoe spawn in groups of 2.
Very soon after, 2 Zory will spawn and head to burrow behind your front line and wreck your ranged units.
Strategy
The Zory in this stage appear to have buffed stats and are a force to be reckoned with, they do plenty of damage and always spawn in groups of 2. When you fully destroy the 2 original Zory they will each be replaced twice for a total of 6 Zory in the whole stage.
Since Zory's burrow range is so short (625 only) that usually means he ends up getting past all of your tanks and messing up your Ubers, Dragons or Cyborgs. Keep this in mind when fighting this fast attacking monster and prepare with constantly spawning rare/special zombie killers to help keep them at bay. Special mention to Lumberjack Cat as his fast attack speed will help deal with Metal Hippoe if you don't bring any crit strikers.
The Heavenly Hippoe and Gabriel can become very obnoxious and end up making life a little difficult for your tanks so anti-angel units are a plus.
Chapter 2
Metal Hippoe and Zoge appear early as a peon/support team. You will fight multiple Metal Hippoe this time.
After about 60 seconds, Zory and Gabriel start to spawn another peon/support team.
At around 90 seconds a Heavenly Hippoe and Zomboe appear as the main threats for the stage. More Zory start to spawn with extra Zomboe/H.Hippoe spawning sporadically. No boss shockwave.
Strategy
The trick here is to start spawning a cheap and fast meatshield(C. Eraser or Reg/C. Mohawk works well here) as soon as the Metal Hippoe spawns, forcing the zombie units to burrow as early as possible which gives yourself as much space between zombies and your base as possible. Defeat the Zoge and stock up on a zombie killer but save as much as you can for when the first Zory spawns.
Once Zory comes out you'll want to keep that meatshield spam up and prepare to spawn your reserve zombie killer(s) in response to him burrowing. Try to time it just right.
When Zomboe and Heavenly hippoe spawn you'll probably still be dealing. with the first Zory but 2 more Zory are going to head your way! This is a perfect chance to practice burrow-stopping with your cat cannon and getting those zombie killers in a good position. The Zory are the real struggle of the match so don't be afraid to restart if the timing gets you down.
In the end, the enemies are pretty similar so Zombie cats, Crit/Metal cats and maybe an anti-angel cat will help if you still struggle with the gabriel/HH combo.
Chapter 3
Metal Hippoe and some Zoge appear early as a peon/support team.
Gory Black, Gabriel and Heavenly Hippoe start to spawn over time as a team of minor threats after ~45 seconds.
Cadaver Bear appears as the boss this time, creating a boss shockwave when the base reaches 99%.
2 Angelic Gory, a Dark Otter and Zigge appear as support for the Cadaver Bear. A small group of Gabriel spawn here as well.
Strategy
Metal Hippoe spawn all alone again, joined by a few Zoge by the time he gets close to your base. You can stall for a bit to save up some worker levels. The minor threats start to come out soon and you will need a way to deal with the Gory Black or he'll wipe your stalling meatshields. Once Gory B and the Gabriels are gone, you'll finish up the Metal Hippoe with either critical units(smart) or with rapid attack-speed units(less smart) like Ramen Cat and Weedwacker Cat... plus Ramen cat helps to stall the Angel enemies. Save uber spawns for after the main fight starts.
Once Metal hippoe is down you'll head to the enemy base and Cadaver Bear & company spawn. While you're being knocked back the Bear is burrowing right through to your ubers. Take this time to spawn your ubers so they're ready to fight as soon as C.Bear surfaces. Taking him down quickly is the best way to victory because once Dark Otter and Zigge catch up to him and the Gory bros the match gets a lot harder.
Fight like normal after you get C.Bear to surface, making sure to use your long range units to beat C.Bears effective 360 area range. After that its a smooth walk to the base as only Heavenly Hippoe, Zoge and Zigge continue to spawn at this point.
Bringing zombie killers is a must, also anti-black and anti-angel cats are going to help a lot. If you end want to bring critical cats instead of bringing Ramen and Weedwacker Cat you can bring Catasaurus or Cameraman Cat since they both can serve as meatshields and both have decent crit. Either way, Metal Hippoe is the least of our worries in this stage.
