Color of Blood (Merciless) is one of the 7 Continuation Stages that the player can access after beating An Elder Secret (Merciless), the only stage in Growing Strange. Completing this stage yields an Elder Catfruit Seed, or at a 1% chance, an Elder Catfruit.

Battleground

• 1 Shy Boy spawns after 13.33 seconds^400f.
• When the base reaches 99% HP:
  • 1 Professor A. spawns as the boss.
  • 10 Ginger Snaches spawn, delay 26.67~33.33 seconds^800f~1,000f.
  • 3 Ginger Snaches spawn, delay 5~10 seconds^150f~300f.
  • 1 Hackey spawns.
  • 3 Capies spawn, delay 40 seconds^1,200f.

Strategy

The easiest strategy to use here is to first stall the starting Shy Boy for money (Manic Eraser can perma-stall it), then to make a large stack of Roe Cats on it. After hitting the base, spam meatshields + Roe, and when your Roe stack finally reaches the first Capy, use Breakerblast to push it behind Professor A who cannot be knocked behind the base. With Prof. A weakened, your other attackers can tank hits from it, and it should die quickly. After that, the Capies without any real support aren't much of a threat. If the player was lucky enough to collect EVA 02 from the Evangelion collab event it can basically nullify the stage completely.

Trivia

• Prior to Version 8.0, Professor A. was buffed to 150% instead of 100%, there were 4 Capies instead of 3 and the Capies and Ginger Snaches had a faster spawn rate.
