Strategy/Usage[]
Before True Form, Coppermine is pretty much useless due to her poor stats and range, and because the spammability of Necro-Dancer Cat and Sanzo Cat heavily outclasses her in terms of stalling Floating enemies.
One of the few redeeming qualities of Coppermine is her stackability (66.20 seconds is a great recharge time for an Uber such as her). Stacking Coppermines is quite easy thanks to her good range, decent health, and short recharge, and a stack of Coppermines can deal surprisingly great DPS.
If you're going to use Coppermine, make sure to capitalize on her freeze ability with the Cat Combo Smiles at Cats, which requires only her and the Basic Cat.
True Form[]
Divine Coppermine has 5,343 DPS, which is quite decent for a unit with her recharge time and attack range. Additionally, her improved attack range (410) allows her to remain behind the frontlines, while safely dealing good damage to enemies. And her chance of freezing Floating enemies has now increased to 75%! Unfortunately, none of this change anything about her significantly, as a stack of Necro-Dancer Cats can achieve the exact same thing (minus the Area Attack and DPS), with more reliability.
Talents[]
Sadly, none of Coppermine's Talents bring much improvement, with the combination of Defense Buff and Resist Wave possibly giving her some new usage, but that's pretty much it. Her range means she will never be expected to be a general damage dealer, so improving her attack power will have little effect. Cost Down is, possibly, the only Talent you should consider investing in, as it is a visible improvement, albeit a small one. Resist Slow is near-useless on her, so avoid it.
Ultra Talents[]
Coppermine gets 3 ultra talents, those being a guaranteed level 3 Mini-Surge, Decrease TBA by 50%, and the Zombie Target, all 3 of which, thankfully, do a very good job at giving her some much needed utility.
Decrease TBA is a bit weird. On the surface, she only loses 0.67 seconds of her attack rate, which doesn't seem like that big of a buff. Luckily, this is still a nice talent for Coppermine, mainly because it makes her a bit more reliable in terms of crowd controlling. However, if you're going for her ultra talents, this one will mostly serve a little bit extra on top of her other talents.
What really sells Coppermine is her Mini-Surge, which essentially increases her dps by 60%. This would have given her around 8k dps at 30, and 9.3k with her TBA deduction, and these are very high numbers for an uber as cheap as herself. At level 60, at a maximum investment, Coppermine has a staggering 21k dps.
The Mini-Surge itself also has good qualities outside of simply more offense. It has the ability to linger outside her range and serve as piercing damage, which also extends her uptime. Furthermore, it even increases her uptime thanks to it's lingering effects. This makes Coppermine significantly better as both and offensive and supportive unit. The only thing that can be a problem is her spawn range, but her mobility and quick attacks can make this a nuisance at worst, and a positive attribute at best.
Coppermine's final ultra talent is Target Zombie, giving her another niche to strive in, specifically one with less competition. Just like her previous superiors, Weedwacker and Housewife don't immediately invalidate her usage. Despite not having Zombie Killer, Coppermine's mobility and uptime are just too good to pass up, and she can counter a majority of zombies. However, do note that you should save this talent until you have unlocked Cat Chief, just so she'll be able to contribute to your anti-zombie lineup better.
If you already have some prominent crowd controllers for zombies, or powerful anti-floatings and midrangers, Coppermine doesn't warrant your NP and you can save it for something better, especially because it's an extreme investment on a not-that-great uber, although the reward for your troubles certainly makes this worthy of it's asking price.

Trivia[]
- She was added to the game alongside Kuu and Kai on May 14th, 2014.
- Prior to Version 5.0, putting Coppermine, Kuu and Kai in the first row would activate a Cat Combo named Journey to the West.
- Prior to Version 12.7, Divine Coppermine' Attack Frequency Up Ultra Talent reduced her time between attacks by 4f 0.13s per level up to 40f 1.33s, considerably longer than the amount of idle time which can be reduced from her attack cycle (24f 0.8s). This meant that upgrades past level 6 had no practical impact on her performance outside of highly unlikely scenarios. She along with Almighty Anubis were the only units affected by this strange progression before this version.
- The "κ" in her Evolved Form is the Greek letter "kappa".
- Coppermine's Japanese name, romanized as Kappāmain, begins with the same sound as the Greek letter.
- "Floating" isn't capitalized in her first two forms' descriptions.
- Coppermine, type κ's description is one of the only instances of "cats" being spelled with a lowercase "c" in The Battle Cats.
- Coppermine is one of the three Uber Rare Cats to have more than one seasonal variant, the others being Kuu and Kai.
- Coincidentally, said variants are all from Gals of Summer and Xmas Gals.
- Coppermine is loosely based on Sha Wujing from Journey of the West. Her weapon is modeled after a monk's spade, a trait commonly found in Wujing's portrayal. The plate above her head is also commonly found in Japanese portrayals of Wujing, as he is usually treated as a kappa, which also has a plate on its head. Interestingly, Kappy Jr. also exists and references the kappa, but there is no correlation between the two's descriptions.
- Coppermine is a reference to Mari Illustrious from Rebuild of Evangelion, as described in Nyanko Ecology Report Large Edition. Her suit even looks like the "plugsuits" worn by Evangelion pilots.
- Due to a sprite placement error following her release, a sprite of Coppermine's left hand was fused with her arm at all times, leaving an empty zone between her forearm and staff during the parts of her animations where it was intended to be used.
- In The Battle Cats POP!, Coppermine is the only Galaxy Gal to have full facial animations.
