Cutter Cat (Super Rare Cat)

Cutter Cat is a Super Rare Cat that was added in Version 8.0 and can be obtained by playing the Rare Cat Capsule. True Form added in Version 10.6 grants increased attack power and Wave Immunity. In The Battle Cats Unite!, Cutter Cat was added in Version 1.0.4 and could be unlocked by purchasing the Package Version Bonus in either JP or SEA Versions.

Strategy/Usage

Cutter Cat can be used as a second, stronger Express Cat against Red enemies, to quickly deal damage to long-ranged Red enemies when they're vulnerable for a few precious seconds or to quickly take out a Red frontliner. It has a burst of damage against Red enemies when at 1% health (85,000 damage at level 30 with all Treasures). At level 40, it can deal 110,000 damage and at level 50, deals 135,000 damage (to Red enemies). It has a 40-second recharge, so you'd better make it count.

Factoring in its Survive and Strengthen abilities, Cutter Cat will first deal 100% damage, then 500%, for a total of 6 times its base damage if it gets hit after every attack, so it is much more important to ensure that its second attack lands instead of the first.

Trying to intercept the attack of a Long Distance enemy is a viable strategy in some cases, so you can defend while letting it attack multiple times with the attack buff, rather than without.

True Form

Neo Cutter Cat increases its attack power, which is always welcome, and becomes immune to waves, making sure the unit does not die on the way to Berserkory or Two Can. Overall, not a bad investment if you want a bit more mileage out of your Cutter Cat.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A three-wheeled machine that appears to be industrial, holding a pair of very large hydraulic cutting pliers in front of it. '08' is painted onto the side. Inside the cockpit, there is a cat apparently piloting the machine. On top of it sits another cat with a chef hat cooking a fish on a stove. There is also a flagpole on the back of the machine, but it is being used for clothes-hanging purposes. Attacks by rushing forward and quickly stopping to "cut" its target.
• Evolved Form: Same, but there is now a small two-wheeled vehicle attached behind the machine with a magnet facing up.
• True Form: Now in full color. Yet another mini-vehicle in attached to the back, this time with a simple sphere on a pole of unknown purpose.

Trivia

• Prior to Version 11.2, Cutter Cat, Driller Cat, Piledriver Cat, Backhoe Cat and Miter Saw Cat could only be unlocked when "Grandon Mining Corps" was part of the current pool.
• Cutter Cat's Japanese name, Sentai Chokindosu, is a reference to one of PONOS' other games, Buta no Chokindosu!.
• Cutter Cat could be seen in Subterra Guardians' attack animation before it was added to the game, albeit with a darker color scheme, a shank of meat instead of a fish, and the number "03" instead of "08".
