Dark Priest Mamon (神官マモーン Shinkan Mamōn, "Priest Mamon") is an Aku enemy introduced in stage 30 of The Aku Realms, Mount Aku/Mount Fuji.

Enemy

Dark Priest Mamon is a powerful enemy, with basically no shortcomings. High offensive and defensive capabilities, good range with added piercing range and Area Attack. His long attack animation is his only weakness.

His stats may not seem threatening, but keep in mind that an Aku Altar will be more than enough to fix this issue when this enemy is first encountered.

Strategy

Dark Priest Mamon isn't too hard to stall, so units who can outrange him and take out his support, if paired with fast meatshields, can overcome the challenges he poses.

Trivia

• He is more than likely a reference to the Dragon Quest character Hargon, as besides having similar designs, both are evil priests who aim to summon skull-wearing demonic gods of destruction (Malroth in Hargon's case, Lord of Ruin Jagando in Dark Priest Mamon's).
• He is The Aku Realms' narrator.
• His name is one letter away from Mammon, which has often been used as a name for a patron demon of greed.
• Mamon sounds dangerously close to the Spanish insult Mamón, so the Spanish translation renames him to Babón.
• When Mamon is knocked back, his left hand temporarily gains an extra finger.
