Strategy[]

Everlord Wanwan is a Starred Alien that is meant to be fought with all anti-Starred Alien Treasures from Cats of the Cosmos. For this reason, the battle becomes unnecessarily difficult without all superior quality treasures.

You have to be very mindful of Wanwan's Warp ability. His first two attacks do 15,000 damage each, followed by a 1,500-damage attack that Warps Cats for 66 seconds. With a deploy limit of 10 Cats, you can't afford to have very many Cats stuck in this Warp at once. Disposable units and Cats with Warp Immunity are obviously helpful, as they will deny him the opportunity to clog your cat limit. Other enemies might be quite the threat, and the victory condition is to outlast them so your units can hit Wanwan unobstructed.

Recommended Units[]

  • Slime: Relic Doge and Wanwan himself are the only enemies with area attacks here, so you can use a well-timed Slime on certain enemies to generate a powerful wave attack that can snipe Wanwan and cripple peons, especially Relic Doges and Sir Rels.
  • Can Can: One of the best general attackers to use in this stage due to its low cost, high damage and Warp Immunity. While single target limits its performance, it still works quite well and can be used to eliminate dangerous peons.
  • Bullet Train: Serves a similar purpose to Can Can, mostly used to get rid of peons like Sir Rel.
  • Courier/Elemental Duelist: Deals massive damage to Red enemies and are used for countering Capy, the most threatening enemy in this stage. Courier is preferred due to having more range, long distance area attacks that hit Capy from behind, and can knockback Sir Rel in one hit at higher levels.
  • Green Shell: Due to its Warp Immunity and massive health for such a cheap unit, Green Shell is often abused in certain Uber-based cheese strategies that would be otherwise inconsistent. It also has its uses elsewhere, such as stalling Wanwan earlier on or to buy your units one extra second so they can kill a nasty Relic peon.
  • Cutter: Deals massive damage to Red enemies, 100% chance to survive a lethal strike and strengthens by 400% at 1% health. If you manage to clear the other peons and Wanwan isn't stopping it anytime soon, you can use this to cripple a Capy. Cutter also has a damage combo with Li'l Brave Cat which can make a tremendous difference when the right units are used.
  • Manic Lion: Used to deal with Croconators and force Wanwan to attack in a pinch. It shouldn't survive Wanwan's hits, preventing it from clogging the cat limit.
  • Catellite: Can serve as your primary meatshield due to its Warp Immunity and unlike Stone it is slightly more consistent. It can also get rid of Those Guys on its own.

Recommended Ubers[]

  • Bazibastra: A unit with all the necessary abilities, those being Warp Immunity, Resistance and Massive Damage to Aliens, enough to melt the boss easily, especially with his Strengthen talent unlocked. However, he will have trouble hitting the boss due to the other peons getting in the way.
  • Gravolodon: Another very good Pixie for this stage, with Warp Immunity, High HP, and Short Cooldown ensuring you consistently have one on the field. Plus, Waves will snipe Wanwan and get it to knockback many times. Just make sure they don't quickly get destroyed by Capy.

Strategy 1 (Cheese ft. Healer)[]

The goal of the strategy is to abuse Everlord Wanwan's massive KB count and stop him from firing off any attacks.

Once you get 1,200¢, spawn Healer Cat CC. Spawn Awakened Bahamut Cat at 4,750¢ cash. He should rush and knock Wanwan back once. Now spawn Manic Island Cat and two or three Manic Eraser Cats to protect Bahamut from the peons. When Wanwan starts his attack, Sniper the Cat should knock him back and reset his attack animation. Once Sniper the Cat fires a shot, quickly spawn a Bullet Train Cat and spawn a few Manic Lion Cats. This will knockback Wanwan again and restart his attack animation. The Healer Cat spawned at the start of the match should have arrived by now, and he will freeze Wanwan; at this point, spawn a Manic Island Cat and Jellycat. The freeze should make room for Bahamut to strike; and Sniper the Cat will fire another shot and stop Wanwan's attack. Continue to spawn Manic Lions and Manic Erasers. When you see nothing is attacking Wanwan and he's starting an attack of his own, you can fire your Cat Cannon (or Thunderbolt) to buy a little more time. Your melee units should ideally take out Wanwan before the peons even become a threat, making the rest of the stage incredibly easy.

Strategy 2[]

You need either Immune to Warp Cats, like Catellite, Can Can Cat and Power Saw Cat, or you need cats with less than 31,500 health. If your non-Immune to Warp Cats have more than 31,500 health, they will tank Wanwan's attacks and be Warped for 66 seconds (assuming they don't get knocked back by the last hit). Manic Eraser Cat still only has 25,545 health at level 50, so this shouldn't be a problem with this strategy. However, if your fast-moving units like Awakened Bahamut Cat and Bullet Train Cat rush into Wanwan's range during his final attack, they'll only take 1,500 damage and get Warped. This can happen with slower units too, but more likely with these faster units. So time your deploys to avoid this. If only one or two units get Warped, it's still manageable.

At the beginning of the fight, spawn a Can Can Cat. When Wanwan appears, spawn a Power Cutter Cat to help take out the first Relic Doge. Spawn another Can Can Cat when you can. You may get a chance to spawn Awakened Bahamut early on to get a few hits on Wanwan. The main goal is to survive all the waves of Capies, Sir Rels and Croconators until Wanwan is basically by himself. So, when Capy is out, spawn Cutters and Can Cans; when Croconator is out, spawn Manic Lion and Power Saw Cat; spawn other units when you can—again, being careful not to get Warped. If you do this general strategy, you don't actually have to play perfectly and you should still be able to win.

Strategy 3[]

Lineup: Brave Cutter, Tiny Ancient Hunt, Can Can Cat 50, Manic Mohawk Cat, Jellycat 40, Boulder Cat, Power Saw Cat

Notes: Tiny Ancient Hunt or any other two-slot Attack Combo frees up a slot for any optional unit that can deal additional damage to the enemies present in this stage. Can Can Cat must also have Move Speed Up Talent.

Start by deploying a Manic Mohawk to ensure that Everlord Wanwan starts his attack animation as soon as he leaves his base. This will buy time to save up on money for any expensive units chosen for this lineup and deploy other Units, as this strategy is meant to be possible without a Rich Cat. Quickly send out a Can Can at the beginning as well.

For the next phase of the fight, the focus should be eliminating the first Capy and Mistress Celeboodle quickly, well before the second wave of enemies appears. Can Can and Power Cutter Cat work wonders here, and careful use of Manic Mohawk or Boulder Cat can allow for a safe opening for Jellycat to unleash a Wave Attack that hits everything on the field. Notably, timing is also required to ensure that none of your non-Warp-Blocking units don't walk into Wanwan's attack and clog the deploy limit. During this time, Power Saw Cat's rapid attacks should quickly shred any Croconators before they cause any problems. The goal is not to tank hits from anything except Wanwan but to quickly deal damage to Capy, Mistress Celeboodle, and the peons.

Depending on levels, this should leave the next Power Saw Cat with ample time to knock Wanwan back several times and regain ground before the next wave of enemies approaches. On his own, Wanwan doesn't deal enough damage and takes loads of damage from even a level 30 Power Saw Cat, getting knocked back several times and giving ground back to the Cats. This will matter a lot for the next phase.

When this new wave of enemies appears, quickly defeat them as quickly as possible much like the previous wave. They are the final source of challenge in this stage. Deal with them much like the previous enemy wave. As soon as they are defeated, Can Can and Power Saw Cat can trash Wanwan and quickly take the victory.

Trivia[]

  • Dogsville's Japanese name, WANLAND, is likely a reference to the famous host and television personality ROLAND, as King Wahwah's Japanese description mentions that Everlord Wanwan is also a host.
  • Prior to Version 9.6, the English name of this stage said Insane despite the actual difficulty being Merciless.
    • Ironically, the exact same error happened with both of the stages in NEO Wanwan's Glory, unlike Dogsville though this hasn't been fixed yet.
  • Dogsville and N-1 Grand Prix are the only initial Advent Stages to have restrictions.
