Elder Mask Doron is a Special Cat that can be unlocked at a 3% chance when beating The Face of God (guaranteed if a Treasure Radar is used).

Strategy/Usage

Although at first glance, Elder Mask Doron seems similar to Glass Cat, a more accurate comparison would be to Ultima Galaxy Cosmo, having decent damage as well as an infrequent long Freeze effect. Elder Mask Doron's main highlight is the combination of Freeze and Surge. If the Surge hits a Relic enemy, it will be frozen for 8.7 seconds, during which rushers such as Idi:N2 and Awakened Bahamut can be sent in to deal huge damage. Despite having a short recharge time for Legend Cat, it feels quite a lot longer in practice due to his one-use attack, so he must be used cautiously.

It is not recommended to use him outside of Relic enemies, because of his long recharge time and mediocre damage with or without Surge. Keep in mind the Surge is likely to hit backline enemies, due to its spawning range of 400~1,000. You've also most likely completed a good chunk of the game by the time you unlock him, so you won't even have much to use Doron against.

Interestingly, with the use of the Combos Gross!!! and Pumpkinpants, Doron's uptime can be increased to over one fifth of his recharge time, at a high total of 11.3 seconds, above double of Super Galaxy Cosmo. Doron has no chance to create uptime, but similarly to Cosmo, the uptime isn’t the focus. The freeze duration itself is the main highlight, giving your attackers ample time to whale on Relic enemies. Make sure to pair him with the Combos, as you'll be able to regain ground very efficiently.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A pale ghostly creature with cat ears, adorned with a mask and several crystalline spikes along with some drapes over the bottom of his. Attacks by ramming himself into the enemy, exploding, and then flying off in embarassment.
• Evolved Form: Similar to the Normal Form, but Doron's mask is more cat-like.

• Doron (どろん) is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a person or creature vanishing, such as a ninja concealing themselves with a smoke screen.
• He has the longest negative range and the second highest base health of all Cat Units, only beaten by Hades the Deathdealer.
