JAPANESE EXCLUSIVE This feature is exclusive to the Japanese version of The Battle Cats but it may also appear in other versions such as BCTW and BCKR!

Fatherly Cat (Shopkeeper) is a Special Cat added to version 8.9 of Nyanko Daisensou. To unlock him, you must reach League 2 in The Burgle Cats. When done, a red gift icon will appear, which when clicked, will give this cat.

Strategy/Usage

Fatherly Cat can effectively be seen as just a worse Phantom Thief Cat, as he is worse at clearing peons due to his infrequent attacks; additionally, Thief Cat is already situational as it is. In short, he can only really shine in those areas where Phantom Thief Cat would also shine, so only really up until the end of early-game. Unfortunately, Phantom Thief Cat can later evolve into Goemon Cat, who outclasses Fatherly Cat in just about every possible way, even before its Talents, rendering him useless, other than as a way to boost your User Rank, or as Labyrinth fodder.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A Cat with facial hair, a green beret, yellow sunglasses, and a little green pouch.
• Evolved Form: Same, but the pouch is replaced with a big, black and yellow handkerchief with a treasure chest. Also, no beard. Attacks by throwing the treasure chest down and laughing at it before putting it back.
