Strategy/Usage[]
This duet forms a powerful, well-rounded frontline unit for your Cat army. A stronger but slower Paris Cat, the Figure Skating Cats are best used in stacks to accumulate DPS quickly. They are very useful cats for almost any lineup, essentially the Super Rare equivalent of Paris Cat. However, in stages with lots of money, it's better to use Paris Cat since she can be stacked more, dealing more total damage. Later in the game, however, they will show their true value as they usually survive longer than Paris.
True Form[]
Slapstick Cats should be a first investment priority in Uncanny Legends, for they are one of the best non-Uber counters to Relic enemies. Their usage stays the same, but their added abilities make them the go-to specialist for Relic enemies, not too differently than how Ring Girl Cat and Cameraman Cat are used against their traits.
Talents[]
The weaken ability greatly improves Slapstick Cats' survivability against Relics, as well as that of the whole army when the effect triggers. Sadly, it's only a 20% chance at most, but it is still a great improvement, since they usually end up forming a stack, meaning that the ability is much more reliable than it first seems. The basic stat boosts are very good to have, but nothing special, while resistance to slow rarely makes a difference, as they are already fairly slow to begin with. Knockback immunity is unlikely to be worth that much NP, if any at all; being immune to knockback would prevent certain enemies, notably M. Ost, from pushing Slapstick Cats to safety whenever they get hit, doing more harm than good.

Appearance[]
- Normal Form: Two ice skater cats. One is male and the other is female. They spin around and breathe cold air as they move. The attack animation involves the female being held by the male for a moment before she is thrown forwards in the air (and into enemies) while pirouetting rapidly. She then skates back to him.
- Evolved Form: Two actor cats. Both are dressed up smartly and are carrying a long ribbon. They still spin around as they move and look rather intelligent. The female is wound up with the ribbon and then spun like a yo-yo onto enemies before being pulled back by the male.
- True Form: Two comedian cats. The male is dressed in a white tuxedo with a spotted bow tie, plus glasses. The female is wearing a puffy dress and holding a fan in one hand, and a microphone stand in the other.

Trivia[]
- The Slapstick Cats are based on manzai-style comedy duos, which consist of a silly man (forgetful and prone to misinterpretation) and a straight man (impatient and quick to correct errors). Their Japanese name, Nyandeyanen, is a portmanteau of nyan (Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound cats make) and nandeyanen, a Kansai dialect phrase which can be translated as "What are you talking about" or "Are you kidding me," used in response to something the speaker finds absurd. This phrase (or a variation thereof) is frequently invoked by the "straight man" to berate the "silly man" and is often accentuated by a jab or smack to the head, sometimes with a paper fan prop.
- They may also be a reference to the comedy duo Daisuke and Hanako Miyakawa, who have worn some very similar styles to Slapstick Cats when performing. Unlike the Miyakawas, however, it is the male cat who wears glasses.
