When the player enters the app it will show a screen explaining the story. If you wish to skip the intro, the player can press a yellow button reading "Skip" in the bottom-right corner. The intro reveals an army of cats amidst a flaming city, most likely destroyed by the cats. As the flames continue rising, the dark, shadowy figures stare at the player with cold, red eyes.
After watching or skipping the intro, the flames of the city as well as the shadowy figures with cold, red eyes disappear and are revealed to be multiple Cats, Tank Cat's and Gross Cat's with the iconic cat smile, city now being replaced with many of the Enemy Bases the player will have to destroy.
December 31st[]
From version 12.0 onward, playing on December 31st changes the game's intro to an alternate version in which True Superfeline steadily approaches the player. At the end of the intro, the screen turns red, alluding to the line, "2022, New Year's Eve. The Japanese archipelago is stained with blood," (2022年、大晦日。日本列島が血に染まる) in the Japanese Version's intro.
Order of Events in Entry of the App[]
- A language option will appear to allow the player to choose which language they would prefer to play in.
- A screen will pop up looking like the video shown above.
- The screen will turn into a more vibrant version and will ask the player to accept the Terms and Conditions as well as provide the date of their birthday.
- The screen will display three options, "Play", "Settings" and "Returner Mode".
- Play: Starts the game.
- Settings: Opens the settings menu.
- Returner Mode: Opens an IAP that allows the player to start at Into the Future - Chapter 1: Time Enough for Cats with completed Empire of Cats progress.
- If the player has made enough progress through the game, when selecting the "Play" option it will display the three main chapters and Legend Stages.
- NOTE: Depending on progress certain options will not appear! Such as Into the Future and Legend Stages not appearing until Empire of Cats - Chapter 1: The Battle Cats Rising has been cleared.
