Fish Cat is one of the Normal Cats. It is available after clearing Madagascar in Empire of Cats: Chapter 1 for 6000 XP, or via the Cat Capsule. True Form grants much higher stats and chance to perform Critical Hits, but has a longer recharge time.

Strategy/Usage[]
This unit is great in Empire of Cats for clearing out Pigges and B.B.Bunnies, and in Stories of Legend for St. Pigge the 2nds but it loses use quickly due to high cost and low range. It is better to stack long ranged cats such as Gross Cat and Lizard Cat.
However, Fish Cat still has its uses as a melee attacker. Dark Emperor Nyandam is a major example because that enemy has high range and a slow attack rate, allowing him to destroy lots of ranged units quickly but not tanky melee units which could withstand him easily, and same goes for a few others like Kory/Master A.
True Form[]
Island Cat gains a big jump in strength, with fortified health and high attack power, as well as a 2% chance to do Critical Hits. It works well with its Crazed counterpart against Red and, to a much lesser extent, Metal enemies. However, in a normal situation, it is still better to avoid using this Cat against Metals due to its abysmally low (2%) critical chance.
Island Cat shines the most when you are able to stack long-ranged cats with protection from meatshields against non-metal enemies. Island Cat is also useful against Wave Attackers, Long Distance enemies or simply those with great range, such as Kory, Dolphina and Professor A., due to its high health. Of course, it goes without saying that a high level Island Cat is required, otherwise he does not have the necessary health to be worth his cost.

Appearance[]
- Normal Form: Looks like a fish with a cat face and four legs. Attacks by biting.
- Evolved Form: Now looks like a slightly cartoonish-looking tiny whale baring its teeth, again with legs. Attack animation has a larger mouth.
- True Form: Whale Cat is not the same after vacation! Looks like a small island with a spiky mouth and a Cat relaxing on top with a beach chair and umbrella. No longer has legs, instead swims across the ground. The bite height is so high, the Cat stays up in the air for a split second when attacking.
