Strategy/Usage[]
Ganglion is like The Peach Devils. Good enough stats, a good set of abilities, and a lot of speed. Unlike The Peach Devils however, Ganglion's delay between attacks is entirely composed of a long backswing. This means that he will not move while recharging an attack, reducing the amount of potential damage he might absorb, and he'll retaliate immediately after being knocked back. His lack of immunity to warp and knockback effects also helps to reset his long backswing and deal even more damage.
Ganglion serves well as a Long Distance rusher, able to cripple the backlines of enemies that would otherwise be a pain to deal with when the boss gets knocked back. He acts a good counter to Alpacky and Zamelle due to his high bulk as a rusher, as well as backliners with the knockback ability such as Mr. Mole. Like many units with high speed, Ganglion is also a viable counter to many Long Distance enemies such as Henry, as he'll rush into their blind spots with hardly any timing required, and then do heavy damage from there.
Take note that unlike conventional rushers with very short attack animations, Ganglion has a 3-second foreswing. Meatshielding is required to deal with melee enemies. The most obvious choice is Soap Cat, as its Alien Resistance and high health can protect melee Aliens from entering Ganglion's blind spot. He also has a long recharge time, so he can be difficult to replace when lost, somewhat contradicting his role.
True Form[]
Ganglion's True Form greatly increases his health and knockback count, simply making him even better at what he's already good at.

Appearance[]
- Normal Form: A slender dragon with a white palette floating above a green halo ring. Much like the other Dragon Emperors, he has a Cat face on his chest. Additionally, there are two blades growing out of it. A structure that resembles a tail is grown behind his head. Each of his forearms has two spikes. The halo disappears when he starts his attack animation and seemingly gets charged into a ball of energy.
- Evolved Form: His body becomes mostly dark gray and there is an extra spike on his forearm.. Wings are formed between the spikes on his forearms, and the runes glow during his attack animation.
- True Form: Changes his body to a more jagged appearance and the Cat face on the chest turns into the appearance of Crazed Cat. The claws and blade have a vibrant, lava-like glow with sparkling substances falling from it. The wings become larger as the shape of the spikes is shifted. The halo and the volcano in the attack animation has changed from green to orange.

Trivia[]
- Ensanglion the Calamity's description heavily implies that Ganglion is his good-hearted twin, alter-ego, offshoot or clone and the one who sealed him away.
- The "Gan" in Ganglion's name can be taken as 贋 (counterfeit, fake), contrasting Ensanglion's Japanese name, Shinglion, where "Shin" is most likely intended as 真 (true).
- The term used for "bury" in Ganglion the Unleashed's Japanese description, 葬り去る hōmurisaru, specifically refers to burying something like the past, not in the ground; leaving something to be forgotten. This may explain why Ganglion is regarded as the progenitor of all Dragon Emperors rather than Ensanglion.
- The pink glow that Ensanglion's eyes get when attacking contrasts the green glow briefly seen in Ganglion's eyes in his attack animation.
- The most likely reason why Ganglion has an enemy counterpart as the final boss of Behemoth Culling is that he's an Elder Dragon, just like most of the "final bosses" of the Monster Hunter games, which nearly all of the Behemoths are references to.
- Since several of the other Dragon Emperors appear to have been named after video games, Ganglion's name may be a reference to Gungriffon, which is spelled and pronounced almost the same in Japanese:
- ガングリフォン Gangurifon (Gungriffon) → ガングリオン Gangurion (Ganglion)
- He is the third Uber Rare Cat to have an enemy counterpart, the others being Nuclear Dragon King Berius and Empress Cat.
- If one looks closely, they will notice that what appears to be Ganglion's tail is actually a back extension to his head/neck.
- The Star of David appears in Ganglion's attack animation, being the power-up circle seen directly before his attack. Ensanglion the Calamity has it behind him at almost all times.
- He is one of the three Dragon Emperors whose Cat face doesn't change to resemble a Crazed Cat in Evolved Form, the others being High Lord Babel and Sea King Daliasan, whose Cat face resembles a Brainwashed Cat instead.
- He is the only Dragon Emperor whose True Form's name doesn't start with “God-Emperor”.
