Strategy[]

This stage is straightforward with a lot of brute force on the frontline, meaning you should simply put your focus to that, as there are few working strategies.

Use Ramen Cat with as many Cat Combos as you need to properly defend him. Use Wave/Long Distance cats for the Owlbrows and a Critter with good enough range for the Metal Enemies, if possible (e.g., Curry Cat), as the Metal Hippoes can obstruct Winged Pigge from your attackers. Alternatively, you can lure and defeat the first Winged Pigge before the second spawns with Metal One Horn, such as your critical hitters shouldn't be troubled as much. The Angelic Gories are usually dealt with easily by whatever you brought to neutralize Winged Pigge.

Trivia[]

  • The name of this stage is a reference to the former safeguard practice of taking live canaries into coal mines. If gaseous toxins like methane or carbon monoxide were present in the mineshaft, the canary's rapid breathing rate would cause it to perish early, effectively working as a rudimentary "gas-powered alarm" and giving the miners enough time to safely withdraw.
