Strategy/Usage
Glass Cat is purely only a one-use-only White debuffer. The enemy he affects is greatly slowed, but Glass Cat is destroyed in the process once and for all. Use him against enemies like Dober P.D, Kory or the Crazed/Manic/Li'l Cats, aside from the Bird Family. In general, he is good against single traitless bosses, like the Heavenly Tower bosses. Note that wave attackers will create Shockwaves unless they are knocked back, as Glass Cat's Hitbox lingers.
It is not recommended to upgrade this unit at all until you obtain his true form, as upgrading him does not provide you with any advantage. This is because Glass Cat dies on hitting an enemy.
True Form
Macho Crystal Cat improves its stalling capabilities with a guaranteed knockback and longer slow duration. This form has the advantage of interrupting the enemy's attack while also getting them stuck in the back, until the rest of the Cat Army can catch up. The improvements granted by this form are notable in several situations, even against the strongest bosses, but they do not widen this unit's usage, only making him better at what he was already good at.
Notably, the ability to knockback enemies may detriment to Macho's use against certain traitless bosses, with the best example being R. Ost, who may be knockbacked into dangerous territory- the range of backliner enemies like Dark Emperor Nyandam and his variants. Aside from that, this True Form is a great improvement to a situational cat, and in most cases where you'd use him, like against the Heavenly Tower bosses.
This form also fixes the problem with wave attackers, as Macho's lingering hitbox will not trigger the attacks of such units along with their waves.
