Gravi is an Uber Rare Cat added in Version 9.10. It can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Nature's Guardians Elemental Pixies event. Its True Form introduced in Version 10.6 gives it more attack power and health, as well as increasing its Wave Attack level.

Tanker & Waver |
Strategy/Usage[]
Use this as a tank like Cats in the Cradle but with way less wave damage and more effective health against Aliens. Its combination of Wave Attack and Barrier Breaker abilities makes it very effective at destroying several Barriers at once, like in Sleepy Signals or the hordes of UltraBaaBaas in Revenge of the Unholy, and for taking advantage of peons to shatter long-ranged enemies' Barriers, such as Le'Solar, Ribbo and Axoloty (though the last one is a bit questionable).
Despite its underwhelming range and stats, Gravolo is still barely able to outrange some certain enemies, mostly Wave Attack enemies, preventing it from receiving direct damage from them. This can make Gravolo a viable pick on any wave stages if you have no better options.
Gravolo, alongside Curling Cat, is a part of the cat combo Going Stones, which is a unit defense up combo consisting of two strong defensive units. Curling Cat can also be used in Put on Ice, and the combination of the two gives a small defense and speed boost for all units. This can help make units tankier and get to the frontline faster, for only 3 slots.
True Form[]
It's safe to say Gravolodon is no longer a substitute for other tankers. They still slightly underwhelm in a few regards, primarily due to the competition, but Gravolodon is as baseline a tanker for aliens you will get. Tanking aliens hasn't been done too often; Cat Machine is the only other Uber in this niche, and Lumina and Doktor Heaven are Legend Rares with this ability. However, the Legend Rares are extremely difficult to acquire, and Cat Machine, as well as Cats in the Cradle themselves, are very passive. That's usually a good thing, but Gravolodon works with their quicker attack rate. The wave attack length allows them to break more barriers, while their immunities allow them to continue functioning when under fire from the nasty starred aliens.
Gravolodon is simply a great tanker, and it is quite a surprise that its True Form improved this much. It still does have its rivalries with Cats in the Cradle and Cat Machine Mk 3, mainly due to the former's disposability and the latter's stats, but Gravolodon is no longer a complete disappointment.

Trivia[]
- This unit's description also matches Bouldergeist in Super Mario Galaxy.
- Further evidence, its evolved form "commands the latest energies of meteorites and asteroids", further ties his relationship with Bouldergeist.
- Gravi could also be based on Sun Wukong: both appear to be stone monkeys, both are troublemakers, and Gravi's True Form holds a staff in its tail; Sun Wukong carried a staff as well.
- Gravolodon is a portmanteau of "Gravolo" and "Megalodon".
