Strategies

Important things to consider:

  • All Aqua and Plasma treasures MUST be maxed, as even a single non-superior can make the difference.
  • These stages, especially the last ones, are generally considered to be some of the hardest in the game, if not the hardest, so players who have the option to play them should think well before starting to invest energy here.
  • Metal Cat and Cyberpunk Cat with talents make a considerable difference.
  • If you have many Battle Items saved up, you'll hardly find a better excuse to use them.

There are three ways to deal with these stages:

The first, which tends to become less and less viable on later stages, is tanking. This works by using a strong tank with the primary goal of stopping Super Hippoh, while fast meatshields get in the way of the Doge Darks and Celeboodles and eventual support helps with the damage. There is no real uberless way of doing this, but there are a few units that can manage this well, notably Lumina, but Doktor Heaven or a combination of two anti-alien tanks (like Cat Machine and Gravoli, alternated to cover each other's recharge) can also get the job done; all with the support of Cyberpunk, Manic Eraser and others, of course. This method, as mentioned before, becomes harder and harder to do, so it should be avoided unless one owns the very best tanks around.

The second is meatshielding. Just spam many fast meatshields, Metal Cat etc, all with the mandatory support from either Cyberpunk or a worse Uber Alternative, then hope that you can hold back the boss until the end. This method usually requires: luck, so that the two Tackeys do not start alternating attacks, but also in general, constant use of the Breakerblast Cannon, Metal Cat, various other fast meatshields, Cyberpunk, Sniper the Deadeye, various battle items and something to hopefully get lucky and land a hit, like a Slime Cat who might reach a Doge Dark and successifully release a wave before Super Hippoh can kill him. Despite all this, there is no need for specific Ubers, so this method may be seen as the only possibility for many.

The last is is to keep distance. Spam Pizza and/or Camera for the peons, Seafarer Cat for the boss, use Cyberpunk and Sniper the Deadeye, add Sniper (battle item), then use any other units with good range and an ability to affect Aliens, all with no meatshields/short ranged stuff. This method requires lots and lots of practice and/or thought to do do the difficult startup right (or luck, but don't count on it), but can easily lead to the boss being unable to even attack while Tackey, with his short standing distance, is guaranteed to not hit the important units, which would be in the frontline or in the far back. Units that can be added are rarely very viable, but, at this point of the game, most people can be expected to have enoughenough of them. Some of them are: Chronos, Aphrodite, Gaia, Amaterasu, White Rabbit, Akira, Volta, Mizuririn, Kasli the Scourge, Mitama, A. Ururun (dies like nothing, so needs perfect timing and no slipups) and Ebisu. This method, compared to the others, suffers less from the boost of the enemies and, despite being almost impossible uberless, can work with many Ubers, but it is the hardest to perform.
