Strategy[]
Most of the stage's difficulty stems from Mr. Mole and Croakley's LD attacks stunlocking your units to death while the presence of the tanky Dagshund makes them near impossible to hit. All of the threats on the level are timed, leaving you with little opportunity to prepare for an onslaught. Abusing Dagshund with Wave Attackers will be your best means of hitting these dangerous backliners, but be sure to reserve lots of meatshields so Dagshunds and Celeboodles won't be able to overwhelm you.
Recommended Units[]
- Slime Cat: Slime is able to deliver a burst of damage through a level 5 wave attack, something made readily possible due to Dagshund's long attack animation that can add up over time and eventually stop Mr. Mole or Croakley from doing too much damage. Slime's relatively high speed means as long as Croakley and Mr. Mole aren't getting close enough not much timing is needed to get a hit.
- Hermit Cat: Hermit is able to rapidly fire level 3 wave attacks through a three-part multi-hit. His low range makes him vulnerable to Dagshund but also makes it easier to avoid being hit by Mr. Mole and Croakley. Hermit's True Form works even better, with level 5 wave attacks sniping threats from afar while the reduced cooldown and health boost dramatically increases his potential damage.
- Can Can Cat: Can Can outranges Dagshund, deals a lot of damage with its single-target attacks while being cheap for what it does, allowing it to accumulate damage like wave attackers. Eliminating Dagshunds before more arrive makes it much easier to keep your wave attackers alive, as most wave attackers can't kill Dagshund on their own and allowing them to stack unchecked can pose a huge risk to them. Even if Dagshund destroys Can Can, you can always send more and keep fighting.
- Awakened Bahamut Cat: Bahamut can be used in a similar fashion to Can Can, in that his huge DPS rips Dagshund and just about any threat to shreds if protected well. Mr. Mole can even reset his attack animation. Just make sure your meatshields can catch up and beware of Croakley's attack.
Strategy 1[]
Lineup: Manic Mohawk Cat (30), Eraser Cat (20+60), Manic Eraser Cat (30), Manic Macho Legs (30), Fishman Cat (34), Can Can Cat (40), Vendor Cat and Kitten (30), Castaway Cat, Holy Valkyrie Cat (30), Awakened Bahamut Cat (30), Mystic Yulala (30).
Items: Rich Cat
Cannon: Breakerblast 6
Lure the first Dagshund over to your base, and spawn Mystic Yulala, Can-Can, Castaway, Manic Macho, and Swimmer Cats with meatshields along with a Vendor Cat. Once you kill the first Dagshund and the first Celeboodle, spawn Bahamut to kill the second Dagshund or the first Mr. Mole quickly.
If you get lucky your Bahamut and Yulala will escape Croakley, and won't get 1-shotted by the Dagshunds. Hopefully you'll win at that point.
Yulala is necessary here because of his speed and attack rate. Though he doesn't grant the freeze effect that Holy Valkyrie does, he clears the backline of Mr. Moles and ensures you don't lose ground. Manic Mohawk Cat is also necessary if you don't want to lose your Swimmer Cats, but you still can kill the Celeboodle quickly without them.
This works about 75% of the time (7/10) because sometimes you get slowed by Croakley. As for the desired result, sometimes you'll have a run where Bahamut clears the base but other times, your wall of Can-Cans will. Choosing not to spawn Manic Mohawk Cats around the time the Mr. Mole spawns can lead to a first Bahamut hit in the former case.
