Hyppoh can be a tough enemy to defeat if fought as early as possible, as you won't be able to spam meatshields fast enough to stall her, nor will have any ranged attackers besides Gross Cat and Lizard Cat. Once you have Valkyrie Cat and all Empire of CatsTreasures, however, she becomes a glorified Hippoe.
Strategy[]
In Norway, Hyppoh doesn't spawn until the enemy base reaches 90% HP, so try to stall for a full wallet and stack Gross Cats and Lizard Cats before facing her. You need to stall her with Cats and Tank Cats until you can get strong hitters like Valkyrie Cat or Bahamut Cat, or whittle her down with the aforementioned Gross Cat and Lizard Cat stack.
Keep in mind that she outranges Bird Cat, Titan Cat and Wheel Cat, so don't rely on them as your main offense against Hyppoh.
For later encounters: do not expect her to be a main threat, so focus your army on other things and this will just get taken out in the process, giving out a bit of free money, good to deal with cash draining stages and enemies, like R.Ost or Star Pengs.
This hippoe is a monthly alien abductee. Traumatized by the thing growing from her head, her skin turned as blue as her heart and she had to change her name.
This hippo was about to be abducted by a UFO. Suddenly, something grew from her head and her traumatized heart and body turned pale. Since becoming an Alien, she often tells lies.
An Alien/Colossal variant of Hyppoh introduced in Horrorpotamus. She has a whopping 20 knockbacks, 100% chance to slow cats for 2 seconds, high damage, good health and despite her meager 222 standing range, has an Omni Strike that hits up to 350. Starts out weak, but receives massive buffs in later stages.
Her Japanese name, Kābachan (カーバチャン), is the same as Hippoe's (カバちゃん), but the "chan" is written in katakana instead of hiragana and a ー (chōonpu) is added after the "ka".
She provided the information in Bun Bun Symbiote's Japanese description, though it shouldn't be taken at face value according to her own Japanese description.
Since she's described as a liar in BCJP, the extra tongues shown in her attack animation may be a visual pun on the idiom "speak with a forked tongue", meaning "to speak deceptively".
Her spritesheet contains a few unused sprites for a green slime effect, presumably meant as part of her attack animation. This slime effect also appears in Imperator Sael's spritesheet.
