Iz the Dancer is a Uber Rare Cat that can be unlocked by playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the UBERFEST event. She was added in Version 11.1.

Strategy/Usage

A slightly awkward unit, Iz takes the role of a midrange rusher with massive damage to all traits. Though she has low base DPS for an Uber Rare, a strengthened Iz can deal damage comparable to Awakened Bahamut Cat when facing traited enemies. This, combined with a meager 46-second recharge time, makes Iz the Alluring Dancer one of the strongest rushers in the game in terms of raw stats.

Her role, however, is not quite the same as A. Bahamut and similar units. Instead, somewhat like Dom Cat, she specializes in attacking continuously to quickly defeat or knockback enemies, thus relieving the pressure on the frontline, instead of specializing in quickly defeating targets. She is thus excellent against hordes of small and medium enemies, but also against tanky backliners who mainly rely on health and range, such as Elder Sloth, Dark Emperor Nyandam and Daboo of the Dead, as she is quite hard to knock back.

Versatility is what she lacks, however, as it usually doesn't take much to put her life on the line, making her heavily reliant on outranging enemies and not being sniped between attacks. Luckily, her Omni Strike offers a solution, allowing her to deliver somewhat consistent damage even when heavy meatshielding prevents enemies from coming in her range after the first hit of her attack.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A female anthropomorphic cat with white hair, big eyes with blue pupils, and a crystal on her forehead. She seems to have either a rod or a ponytail on her head, with a heart-shaped ornament at the top of the rod. A Cat wearing a turban with a crystal accompanies her. Iz holds two pieces of fabric that look like scarves and wears baggy white pants, which may perhaps be part of an Arabic thawb to fit with the Cat's turban. When attacking, Iz creates purple mists and transforms into a monstrous cat with grim eyes and razor-sharp teeth. The crystal on the Cat's turban lights up yellow to transform Iz back.
• Evolved Form: Iz’s outfit has become fancier and gained more ornaments. The fabric on her waists has become black and white, while she's wearing an extra piece of cloth around her. The Cat which accompanies her now has a heart-shaped crystal and a feather on its turban. When attacking, Iz now creates a red mist instead of purple and her monstrous form also becomes fancier and thinner.

Trivia

• Iz the Dancer is a reference to The Dancing Girl of Izu or The Izu Dancer, a short story by Yasunari Kawabata.
  • In Japanese, her name is read as Izu; it would seem the change to Iz was a mistranslation.
• Appearance-wise, Iz the Dancer is best described as a feline version of Akubi from the anime Hakushon Daimaō, also known as The Genie Family.
• Unlike the other UBERFEST units, Iz doesn't have a "young" version as her first form, with vastly different roles and stats, instead having both forms share the same cost and recharge time, with the Evolved Form being a direct improvement.
• Despite her Evolved Form's description saying that she deals insane damage to traited enemies, she only deals massive damage.
