Jail Break Tunnel

Jail Break Tunnel (脱獄トンネル Datsugoku Tonneru, lit. "Jailbreak Tunnel") is the 18th sub-chapter of Stories of Legend. It was added in version 2.2.3 and is available up to 4♛ difficulty.

Difficulty

For most, Jail Break Tunnel is the hardest sub-chapter up to this point. Except for Prison Sentence, every stage has potential to be quite challenging, with Sin and Punishment and Harry Tunnel being arguably the toughest on higher difficulties. You will also need a ranged Critter like Space Cat for Dead Falls, which introduces Sir Metal Seal.

• 2♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 150%.
• 3♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 170%.
• 4♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 150% and only allows Special Cats and Rare Cats to be deployed.

New Features

This sub-chapter introduces two new enemies:

• Sir Metal Seal: A powerful Metal variant of Sir Seal with high attack power, decent range for a Metal enemy, and very high health compared to previous Metals.
• Ururun Wolf: A boss enemy that appears in the final stage. Has very high HP and long range, but gets knocked back a lot and has somewhat weak attacks.

This sub-chapter starts the trend of having unlockable bosses as Legend Cats in a Stories of Legend sub-chapter - the final stage has a 3% chance to drop Ururun Wolf (100% if a Treasure Radar is used).

Trivia

• Harry Tunnel shares a name with a tunnel from the novel and movie The Great Escape, which is also The Great Escaper's namesake.
