Though he may be small, Kappy Jr. has high health, does extreme damage and has 100% chance to create a Surge Attack reaching up to 750 range away from him. In his firsttwo appearances, his short range and slightly delayed attack make it easy for him to miss when the Scissoroos are still on the field, but once they're dead, beating him becomes heavily dependent on luck.
A yōkai child who likes the texture of cucumber and holds it in his mouth all the time. Suddenly, when you think that he is calm, like a raging fire, he releases a furious "Intense Wave".

He is based on the kappa, an amphibious, reptilian, humanoid yōkai with a penchant for cucumbers.
His Japanese name, Kawawappa Jr., is a deconstruction of kappa; a portmanteau of kawa, meaning "river", and wappa, meaning "child".
His name may be a reference to Bowser Jr., a Mario character whose Japanese name is Kuppa Jr.
If counting Cruel Angel Clionel the eighth Deadly Sin, despair/despond, then Kappy Jr. can replace her as the Tier 1 Advent Bosses' representation of wrath.
He was the first enemy to have the Surge Attack ability.
Kappy Jr. and Kappy Kawano are the only Advent Boss to have no abilities that are disabled by the Curse effect.
He is the only Advent Boss to appear in more than one Advent Stage, spawning in both his own stage, Flow Like the Stream, and in Kappy Kawano's Ghost King Finale.
