|Into the Future - Stage 2|
Players coming from Empire of Cats Chapter 1 should take caution. Into the Future is generally designed to be attempted after completing Empire of Cats Chapter 3.
As this is the 2nd stage of Into the Future, spamming cats like Cow Cat/Giraffe Cat/Lion Cat (level 20 +10, after completing Empire of Cats) or Crazed Cow Cat/Crazed Giraffe Cat is more than enough to go for a high score.
As one of the earliest zombie outbreaks in Into the Future, this will not prove to be too difficult in chapters 1 & 2 but chapter 3 has a nasty surprise waiting for you.
Zomboe and Znache appear early as zombie peons.
Shibalien and Hyppoh appear when you hit the base as major threats.
Only zombie units will attack you until the enemy base reaches 90% you'll have a couple Zomboe and about 4-7 Znache at any one time.
Once the base hits 90% health a Hyppoh and a stream of Shibalien appear. Zomboe and Znache continue to spawn.
More Hyppoh and Shibaliens will spawn until you defeat the base.
Not too hard of a level. Make the zombies burrow early so they don't get right up to your base. Get your Alien units ready for the main threats and try to keep units flowing so that you don't get caught offguard by more burrowing zombies.
All in all, not a terribly tough stage but any Zombie Killers and anti-alien units will be super helpful.
Zigge appears as support.
Cyberhorn appears as the boss when the base is damaged.
Znache appears as a peon, followed by Zigge. Zigge will continue to spawn slowly, about every 50 seconds.
When the enemy base is below 90%, Cyberhorn appears as the boss. Shibalien will begin to spawn quickly.
After Cyberhorn has appeared for 30 seconds, 3 Zigge will slowly spawn in addition to the other ones.
Znache and Shibalien appear as peons.
Li'l Zyclone appears as the boss for the stage.
Znache and Zomboe come out early and head to the base. These enemies are pretty heavily buffed and will stack up to about 12 of them so don't discount their damage or how easily they will get to your base.
The stage is really small so the Znaches will burrow under your cats and pop up again practically at your base unless you send out a crazed unit immediately.
After what feels like forever(probably about 90-120 seconds) a boss shockwave will push your units back and probably cost you the match once or twice. If you don't lose immediately to the peons you will have to fight a Cyberhorn (moving slowly towards you) and a Li'l Zyclone who burrows for 1250f and rapidly reaches your backline cats to finish what the peons started. A large group of Shibalien spawn with the pack and continue to spawn through out the rest of the stage, stacking to about 6 almost all the time.
This stage is no joke!
Rich cat and Sniper Cat are highly recommended to smooth out what little amount of early game you get. This will allow you to save up for at least one hard hitting uber to shut down the early wave of peons. If you have Zombie Killer super rares like Piledriver Cat or Vaulter Cat you should use them as well if their levels are high enough.
Bring as many anti-zombie units as possible and maybe even 5 meatshields. Everything in this stage does a massive amount of damage so having more cheap meatshields(Mohawk, C. mohawk, Gato Amigo) will be better than fewer more powerful meatshields(i.e. ramen, cameraman, etc) due to gold efficiency. Li'l Zyclone does very little damage per hit by comparison but his job is just to soak up meatshields and block for his long range allies.
- Weedwacker cat is a Cat God-send on this stage because of the near perma-freeze you will achieve on Li'l Zyclone and Zomboe when you have a couple of them stacked up. Mighty Thermae-D-Lux gets special mention as well for freezing zombies with an omnistrike multi-attack. Both units are zombie killers as well.
Li'l Zyclone is probably the easiest part of the stage in the grand scheme of things. If you survive the initial wave AND survive the boss shockwave with units ready to spawn then it shouldn't be too tough. You can't really do the A. Bahamut rush strat on this stage due to the Cyberhorn and the massive amount of Shibalien that spawn with him. With treasures and many Zombie killer units you should have little trouble after the initial set up.
Once the Li'l Zyclone is down for good, finish off the Cyberhorn and dogs for the victory. Now you can go take a nap, that was exhausting.
