Kyosaka Nanaho is a Legend Rare Cat that was added in Version 9.5 and can be unlocked at an extremely low chance when playing the Rare Cat Capsule during the Girls & Monsters: Angels of Terror event.

Strategy/Usage

Kyosaka Nanaho's main selling point is her versatility as a Long Distance unit and as a slot saver. Her best matchup is against Metal Enemies, thanks to her Insanely Tough ability, reliable Critical Hits, and very long piercing range to wipe out approaching Metals, although it is recommended to pair her with other Critters to cover her blind spot. Her potency is further improved by her survivability, being able to survive a lethal strike along with high knockback count. However, in stages with hard-pushing enemies, tough meatshields like Manic Eraser Cat, or pushing meatshields like Gato Amigo, are recommended due to her huge attack blind spot.

Her Zombie Killer should be considered an added bonus on mixed stages like Metallic Metaverse; her usage against Zombie Enemies is limited because Zombies will find it easy to burrow into her blind spot after reaching your front line. However, it does find use in March to Death with dealing with the various Metal Seals and Super Metal Hippoes, and in the event that she does the finishing blow to Daboo of the Dead.

Her ability to break Barriers, on the other hand, is quite useful, due to her piercing range. She is not recommended against most enemies with over 400 range or Wave Attacks, as they will easily bring down her low health, although it might be worth the risk if there are a lot of peons to use as stepping stones. Her performance shines in mixed trait stages featuring Metal enemies or Starred Aliens (mainly UltraBaaBaa and Youcan). Even if her damage can be underwhelming, the spare slot can be filled in with another unit, such as another damage dealer, or a meatshield, which would otherwise be filled in with a Critter or a Barrier Breaker.

Appearance

• Normal Form: A katana-wielding girl dressed in Japanese high school uniform and a red cloak. She has two cats floating by her sides and a basic cat floating above her, they all don red blankets. Behind her is a shrine gateway with a rainbow Japanese symbol of a soul surrounded by seven petals.
• Evolved Form: The color scheme goes from red to blue. There are also subtle changes on the girl's appearance: Her katana is glowing blue at the tip and has cracks all over it; The katana loses its hilt and the decoration on it changes; Wears thigh-highs with boots instead of tights with leather shoes; The charm is replaced by a pouch on her waist.

• Despite being in the GirlsMons set, Nanaho comes from the discontinued PONOS game "Kyoutou Project".
  • The "other world that has perished" in True Kyosaka Nanaho's Japanese description is referring to it, as the game's discontinuation was announced not long before Nanaho was added to BCJP.
• The two yellow-eyed cats beside Kyosaka Nanaho are nekomata, which were among the most commonly seen yōkai in Kyoutou Project.
• She is the only non-collaboration Legend Rare to be introduced from another game.
