Li'l Valkyrie Dark is an Uber Rare Cat who joined the Cat Army in Version 8.6 and would be unlocked when rolling the Rare Cat Capsule during the NEO Best of the Best banner. Just like the UBERFEST and EPICFEST exclusives, she is the dark counterpart to Li'l Valkyrie and would offer a different set of stats to differentiate from her original counterpart. Li'l Valkyrie Dark would then be implemented into The Battle Cats Unite! in Patch 1.0.5 but is only obtained in the Southeast Asia (SEA) version via Package Version Bonus.

Strategy/Usage[]
Li'l Valkyrie Dark's purpose is similar to that of Li'l Valkyrie and Meow-sketeer: she is a quick midrange rusher with high DPS. Compared to her light form, she has half the damage and significantly fewer abilities, but in return has a 100% chance to perform a level 3 Wave Attack. Losing the abilities may seem like she is inferior to the original, but it is important to understand the value of each of them. While most of Li'l Valkyrie's are nice, it is only really Zombie Killer that greatly improves her general usage; additionally, Curse immunity literally does nothing while Knockback and Warp immunity actually harm her poor survivability even more due to denying her opportunities to reposition.
In comparison to Li'l Valkyrie's abilities, Li'l Valkyrie Dark's Wave Attack is by far the most important one. This gives her piercing range even higher than Meow-sketeer's, but without the blindspot! Her halved attack is also offset by the wave: she still does 11k DPS to frontline enemies unless her first hit knocks them back, while being able to deal 5.5k DPS to the enemy backlines.
Unfortunately, she is not without her weaknesses. She still suffers from poor survivability due to having only 2 knockbacks, low HP and low range. Her high speed combined with somewhat long foreswing and her time between attacks not being entirely backswing can cause her to rush into enemies who can shred her in seconds. While she certainly outclasses Li'l Valkyrie outside Zombie stages, keep in mind that Meow-sketeer and D'arktanyan also outclass her by a wide margin.

Appearance[]
- Normal: Looks like normal Li´l Valkyrie, but with white hair instead of grey, a darker themed armor a little bit heavier with more red gems in the helmet, her lance has bigger and black feathers at the top, grey wings instead of white ones, and with her angels wearing black leafs crowns instead of a halo (besides one of them carrying a drum instead of a trumpet)
- Evolved: Now cowboy themed, wears a purple dress with some red and white details, a wild west outfit coloured in white and black patterns, with her boots and cowboy hat being red with black and golden metal details such as dots and stars, as well as a pair of earrings and a necklace. Her spear now resembles a combination between Indian American and bandit style, carried by her cowboy dressed guardians, one holding a whip.

Trivia[]
- Li'l Valkyrie Dark is one of the only cats whose appearance differs between versions, like her normal counterpart.
- On the initial release of Version 9.0 for every version of The Battle Cats except for the Japanese one, Dark Rider Valkyrie's appearance both in the Cat Guide and in Battle was glitched due to PONOS using the Japanese version of her sprites.
- There is an error in the description as Li'l Valkyrie Dark does not block enemy waves, and is only immune to them.
- Li'l Valkyrie Dark is labeled as a Special Cat in The Battle Cats Unite, but costing just as much as an Uber
- She, Nekondo, Baozi Cat, Crazed Baozi Cat, and Li'l Valkyrie are part of a version exclusive In The Battle Cats Unite, that being the Southeast Asia version of the game.
- She can be obtained in the Japanese version, however, only through save file editing and thus cannot be playable through natural means.
